Looking for a maroon bag--is raisin the closest color?

Hi there. I'm looking for a bag that would be close to maroon. I'm a new college mom and want a bag in school colors. I was looking at raisin and Aurore, but raisin seems the closest to a true maroon.

The challenge with bags in those colors (and presumably empreinte leather) is that there are known issues with melted edge paint, which completely ruins the bag, your outfits, and does not make for easy handling... Unless your idea is to take them to a leather specialist and have the edge paint redone...

They just released the colour wine in empreinte. On the go, Speedy, pochette metis, easy pouch, and there's the slouchy one I can't remember the name of.

I have a verbiage Amarante wallet and it’s close to Aggie maroon.

Don’t know why autocorrect changed Vernis to Verbiage!! The amarant is a very dark color but in light is very good maroon. Not sure when the color was discontinued. But there are lots of preloved available. If you are in Dallas area look up Keeks.
