Looking for 35cm black togo or clemence birkin

When I was on Rodeo Drive, the SA told me that they get quite a few Birkins each week (really?) but none at the moment (ahhh - typical) and the SA did say that people would come in every day in case one turns up.
One thing I have found is that if you go to a "remote" Hermes boutique, you have a better chance of getting on that illusive "list". The SA in Selfridges told me that their list only opens for a few hours - and then gets filled up. All black Birkins are on allocations only... and miraculously finds it way on the re-seller's shelve at a 25% markup or more. Just like a Rolex Daytona...
For me, I am hoping to "score" a Mirkin one day (Birkin large enough for a man to lug? so I learn on the internet). Good luck, and when you do get one... am sure we'd love to see it and hear your incredible adventure on how you managed to secure one.

I wanted a black birkin last christmas. I called my SM and SA and they couldn't. Apparently it was the most wanted bag and color.
I ended up buying from eBoutique. Yes, I did pay more, and I wasn't happy-- But I figured her prices are much more reasonable than the rest. I might also recommend you call the store in Mexico, as I purchased a small 25CM black there, and I was very happy. Check the resellers thread and see who you can trust and who can give you the best deal. By the time we get these bags from the "list" they will almost be the same price as what the resellers are charging for them now. I personally paid11.5K for my black-- and I was referred to eBoutique by ReneH. I really don't know what the bags are selling for now- I see the sellers have them listed for 16K.. Its way too much. but email Creatures, and MK and NYfashion, and eBoutique - maybe see who comes in the lowest?????

You girls are the ultimate birkin shoppers. Please steer me to the best source! I've looked at lots of resellers from the ebay list on this site, but some are really charging outrageous prices! Have any of you seen my dream bag lately...?
there is a store called I Want That Bag! in Beverly Hills (464 S. Robertson) that i haven't been to, but i called today and they have a 35 birkin in clemence year J like new/with box etc. I CAN NOT VOUCH FOR THIS STORE or this item, but if you are here or have someone who can check it out for you, their number is 310 274-9696. I didn't want black, so I didn't push her to quote the exact price when she said (!) $10,000 or $10,900. If that's in your price range...
