I've been looking for a backpack to carry my toddler's snacks etc. when we go on adventures together. I don't own any Longchamp, but I've heard great things about the leather and I liked the price! So I took the plunge with the Le Pliage Cuir Backpack in Honey.

How do you think it looks on me? I must admit it's not love at first sight, but I'm trying to give it a chance :)

I think it looks great on you. Nowhere too small and as you are wearing it lower does not make it seem like a kiddish backpack. I love backpacks as I personally find them very useful, esp with young children. May I ask what is keeping you from liking the bag? Is it the color? Or how the bag closes or lack of another compartment outside for quick access to small essentials? For me, I was so close to getting a XS cuir crossbody in Honey as I like the color but at the boutique, all the pieces I saw had slight dark patches here and there. In the end, I chose another bag instead.

Thank you both! I think color is part of it -- I do really like bags in the tan/yellow family, but this one looked different from the picture on the website IMO. There is also one tiny imperfection on the top flap that I noticed right away (maybe this is the same issue that frenziedhandbag saw?), though I don't think anyone else would be able to see it while out and about.

The style is pretty darn simple too. I usu think of myself as liking more minimal bags (def not into heavy embellishment!), But I suppose it is striking me as sort of plain. I wish I could take it for a spin and see how it feels in context before deciding whether to keep it. It's just not making my heart sing quite yet, even though I like the size, price point, etc.

Clearly, I struggle with making decisions

Why do you not like it? I think it looks great on you! It’s a nice size and doesn’t look childish on an adult. Some backpacks can look like a kid bag but this one doesn’t. I have it in pink and it’s been very versatile and leather is great.

Nevermind, I tried it on w a different outfit and the color combo looks great! Def gonna keep it lol. Thanks ladies!

I totally can resonate with you. The patches I saw were not obvious as well. My SA and colleagues didn't spot them but I guess I saw them and somehow I can't unsee it, knowing it is there. Like you, I had found tan/yellow colors to be very versatile but the cuir in honey looked different from my Mademoiselle in honey as different leather types take color differently. I also went to look at the Foulonne crossbody bag in Mimosa but the yellow did not appeal to me as much as it did online so yes, color does play a part. I feel you on the minimalism. I used to have a smaller cuir backpack in emerald and I adore it but it was very much smaller than the current model and I am quite tall so somehow I did feel it looked kiddish on me. I did hope for a small pocket outside so that I can have my train pass within but I think aesthetically, it might make the backpack look less sleek.

Great to hear that you've decided to keep it! Awesome!
