Hello. I’m brand new to the Longchamp brand, and am use to buying other brands directly from the brands boutique. I’ve never bought anything from SacksOff5th before, and ordered a Le Pliage Original Tote in Navy since it was on sale. Authenticity or MFF didn’t cross my mind at first, but now I’m second guessing. Do outlet style stores like this usually sell authentic bags? Are the Longchamps sold here MFF? It’s still in transit so I haven’t received it yet. But since it would be my first LC I wouldn’t have anything to compare it to to know the difference. I do have 2 backpacks coming from Nordstrom’s, but they are the club line. What are everyone’s experiences? Thank you

Yes, Saks Off 5th, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, Century 21, Gilt, RueLaLa all sell authentic Longchamp bags.

Longchamp bags are produced in several countries besides France. Whether you buy a Longchamp bag in a Longchamp boutique, major department store, other authorized retailer or discount seller, there's never a guarantee that the bag you get will be made in France. There's no predicting it based on where you buy it. You can't know for sure about the country of origin until you look inside at the tag.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I’ve been trying to research the brand, but there are some things I was still confused about. I don’t mind if it’s not made in France. I just don’t want a made for factory bag (I don’t know if Longchamp even has those). Thank you again. I really appreciate it.

Do you think the department stores would be selling fakes? Basically the department stores send items to their outlets. So yes, the items are authentic. The only way you'd get a fake is if someone did a switch and returned a fake instead of an authentic bag.

I always see Longchamp at Saks off fifth and Nordstrom Rack. It's one of those contemporary designers that I would never pay full retail for like Coach and Michael Kors. My gray tote is on the way from Saks off fifth. Yay!

I don’t think department stores sell fakes. I was unfamiliar with the SacksOff5th store. I’m from the Midwest...we don’t have them here. So I didn’t know it was “part” of actual Sacks. Could’ve been a knockoff site for all I knew. Like I said I’m still learning about this brand which is why I asked. I am use to LV, and only buying from the boutique, and Coach which has the made for factory bags from the outlet as well which I try to avoid. Trying to research and figure things out.

Oh ok, we have the brick and mortar outlet stores here in CA. Looks like we got the same bag in different colors. I hope you love it!

Thank you. I debated between the navy and gunmetal, but that one sold out, so my decision was made for me. They seem to have a lot of great colors.

I had the large navy and returned it last year (too big for me), but that color is also really nice. The small looks like the perfect size. I know so many great colors! I was eyeing the red also. I just don't like that some have white interiors.

I’ll mention that if you are in a country that has a Winners watch out! I have seen fake Longchamp before which may have been a result of return fraud. It’s always a good idea to carefully examine what you’re purchasing as not everybody is trustworthy.
