DH is going to buy a Love Bracelet for my birthday. I know they are 'locked' on with a screw and was wondering how long the ladies on this forum have worn their Love Bracelets without removing them. Days? Weeks? Months?

I am right handed and wonder how much damage I will do to it if I wear it on my right wrist. I wear a watch on my left wrist, and wonder if I should move the watch to my right wrist and wear the LB on my left wrist to keep it out of harms way.

This will have special meaning and I do not want to ever take it off, but is that practical?

taviasmith - There are lots of threads here that address your questions and concerns. I'm right-handed and wear my Love on my right hand. But I have thought of switching it to my left. I might actually try that! Most people that I know love the scratches and patina that develops from wearing it 24/7. But it was harder for me to get used to that. I think it will definitely not get as knocked up if it is worn on the left wrist. I think that is an excellent idea!

I've worn my YG love bracelet on my right hand since I received it two days before Christmas last year. I am right handed and it still looks great! It has developed some scratches, but it really still shines and looks fantastic. Enjoy yours!!!!!

I wear mine on my left wrist for that very reason.....I'm right handed, and it would get more abuse! I've had mine on for about two years

My love bracelet is off right now. I took it off 2 weeks ago when I went roller blading. But I'm seriously considering putting it on my left wrist. I use to wear my watch on my right when I was a little girl. I don't think I'll have trouble getting used to it. I would never wear it on same wrist as watch. While I love the look of a watch next to a Love, both would get extra scratched!

I am right handed, but I wear the bracelet on my left wrist. I also will not wear my watch on the same side as the bracelet. Just too easy for the bracelet to get scratched.

I have two love bracelets, one is close to 10 years old. I have worn them together on my right wrist, alone on right wrist or with my watch on the left wrist. I can tell you you do get more scratches on gold watch worn with love bracelet next to it, so perhaps that is not the best idea. Over time, your bracelet will definitely get scratched, and can lose lustre from sunscreen, chlorine, etc. BUT, last year I took mine in to the Cartier store to be polished. and they came back looking fantastic. super shiny and all but the deeper scratches buffed out. so, wear and enjoy your bracelet. The only other word of warning I have is that post 9/11 they have turned up the sensitivity on the mags at airports to the point that if you are wearing a love bracelet, you will often set off the alarm. (this never happened to me pre 9/11, and I flew very often wearing the bracelet). So, I went from never removing my bracelet(s) to usually leaving them at home when traveling on commercial flights so I don't have to get patted down. HTH.

I do. I wear my rg love bangle, rg love charity, yg petite-style fashion bracelet with my TT Rolex everyday. I'm more comfortable with the wrist weight on one wrist. Believe me, I've played with the right vs. left wrist numerous times and always go back to having everything on my left wrist. I'm right-handed.

I've worn my rg bangle everyday for the past 2 plus yrs. I wear it on my right hand (i'm ring handed) with other bracelets, bangles etc...it still looks great. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
