Hi all! Just joined recently and was hoping for some quick reassurance on a purse purchase I'm considering. It's for my girlfriend's birthday in a couple of months, and I must stress that I plan to show her whatever wallet(s) I shortlist to make sure she approves — I'd never buy her something so personal otherwise!
So she currently has a long continental-style wallet (don't know the make, I don't think it's a crazy brand or anything) that's a bit worn. I've done enough online searching and brief reading here to learn more about purses than I ever thought I would! Including that they can be called wallets. Anyway, after much digging, I've so far narrowed down my shortlist to this lovely looking (I think!) option from Dead Ponies — the 'Lady Wallet':
Again, I think it looks nice, but then again I'm a man with a black leather wallet so please boo or cheer as much as you think is reasonable. Mostly I'm looking for reassurance — is this a nice wallet and a solid make? Are there any others I should consider?
In my searching I've come across some nice options from Longchamp, and Lancel in particular, but I feel like the above is a good starting point. If anyone has any recommendations in this area too I'm all ears! More than happy with indie companies or even individual makers if that's a thing in this area.
