Have you guys found that prices are actually cheaper in london due to the higher VAT refund and better exchange rates?

I am heading back to both places in a few weeks and want to know whether there will be a significant price difference.

TIA:smile1:

interesting. hope u can give us the answer when u are back. i know this is happening in balenciaga. enjoy your shopping.

no, the actual VAT refund from London only 9%, the handling charges all are very expensive in UK. and the GBP listed price is 15% more than EURO, with the exchange rate and things all added up UK now is more expensive than Paris.

Oh no...boohoo! I know the price is a little more than the euro but a friend who just got back a couple of weeks ago claimed an 18% VAT refund. She was never good at math so maybe she is wrong LOL:graucho:

Paris is a little bit less, but good luck. I am returning from UK tomorrow. Was here 3 days, the Paris 6, then back here for 3 more and couldn't get a bag ANYWHERE! Or a bag charm, or even a twilly. Stock is so so low it is ridiculous. I'm going to have to stick to paying more, but getting goods back home. Even the SAs are frustrated as very little is coming in and it will only get worse as holiday month begins later this month. Good luck to you...that's what you need. I missed getting a Kelly pouchette I went in to ask about 15 times by 20 minutes at FSH. SA said "oh...you just missed it...I was thinking about you as I sold it.". Really???? My fault for going to get a coffee instead of getting in the line....

yes it could be! because it does stated the amount of 18% on the receipt but the actual refund amount is on another section! very sneaky!
and depends of the the currency she's using, now global refund only pay in USD! you might loss another 1 or 2% on currency exchange.:smile1:

WHAAAAT? I usually only get my cash refunds in euros because their exchange rate is bad. That truly sucks:(
