my sister is on her way to London. she has a few free afternoons and is will to go to a few hermes stores for me. which stores have the best selection? looking for evelyne tpm, CDCs, and KDTs mostly. if she buys something, how does she claim the tax back? does she also have to pay tax for the US? how are the regular prices compared to the US?

she is also hopefully going to heathrow. how are the prices compared to the US? she will be looking for shawls and clic clacs there too if the prices are good.

I can't answer many of your questions, but my husband was recently there and visited both boutiques and the concessions in Harrods and Selfridges. He bought a shawl at Selfridges, and it worked out to be about $1050 with VAT - so about $200 cheaper than I would have paid in the US. He also bought several things at one of the H stores (Bond street maybe) - they refund VAT right there and then - Selfridges did not I believe - he had to do the paperwork at the airport. I was reasonably cheaper though.
