With so much financial uncertainty and instability, which is only going to get worse, trends are already moving away from Logos and towards quiet luxury.

What do you all think this means for Hermes. In the last few years we all know the demand for Hermes goods has skyrocketed. Thanks to Chanel’s few massive price increases and the influencer/celebrity campaign by Hermes there are more customers than ever flocking to the boutiques.
I am just wondering will there be even more interest in H since they are a heritage brand that stands the test of time OR will consumers be put off by this ultra luxury brand (and their selling tactics) because of the financial situation the world is facing ?

If you love Hermes you likely will continue to buy but perhaps take a step back & evaluate
purchases that are not considered necessities to build a pre-spend & may decide to explore
other routes for what one is searching for.
If you are on a waitlist, likely nothing will change as you will still covet that bag whether it
arrives today or 6 months from today

There are also tons of h bags that are not super recognizable to the outside world. I walk most days with my garden file with strap and the average person wouldn’t even realize it is h bag.
Yes! I love that bag. Plus, I really want a Toolbox, but I will probably have to buy used since I think H no longer makes them.

Logo driven buyers are not the core customer base.
Hermes design ethic has very little to do with obvious logos. The classic and most recognisable Constance 'H' shape is not ubiquitous over the range of goods and repels as many purchasers as it attracts. Admittedly a version of 'h' is often cleverly drawn upon as a design shape in a number of ways, but this variety is Hermes' buffer from vulgar recognition. Nonetheless the title of this thread has made me realise just how much the 'h' shape is used. It is obvious to the cognoscenti, but not the general man in the street.

So does seeing that by a name mean a person is banned from the forum?
yes. in a lot of cases, tPF bans these accounts because they were created using the same email they use for another account they have in the forum.

so this influencerslayer is probably a long-time member of this forum who wants to post "controversial" stuff, or wants to whine, but doesn't want to do it using their main account to preserve their reputation. lol

We are way off topic and this should be in Feedback forum (where we can all find an explanation of banning, which can be temporary), but yes, usually these folks who are brand new, few posts, and super aggressive are either existing members (which will get you banned right away as you are only allowed one account) or they are influencers/resellers/brands/etc. trying to get a word in "anonymously".

Either way this thread should probably close. :flowers:

Thank you
I did not realise there is a Feedback Forum
I have often felt the need for such a vehicle
