Loewe Zipper vs drawstring in raffia pouchette

I would imagine you can put more in the drawstring than the zipper, b/c you have extra height. I was searching for a zipper raffia pochette, but couldn’t find any for resale.

I purchased the zippered raffia. I was concerned the drawstring version looked like a mini hamper 😂 and that it kinda stuck out. I like the tapered look of the zipper pochette.

I agree with the posters above. I think you can fit more in the drawstring, but for me it looks kind of messy and I prefer the simplicity of the zip closure. But the major decision maker for me - and do note this if you're considering this bag - is the older zip pouch has a full cotton canvas lining, whereas in the more recent drawstring pouch version, the raffia is unlined internally. So you have the drawstring, which adds height but no bag lining at all. And for a summer bag where you might have liquids or slightly messy contents, that to me was a big clincher towards the zipped, lined pouch! Hope that helps

I actually just ordered the drawstring version. I like the Anagram jacquard which is the little detail that makes it unique; it actually reminds me of traditional Japanese purses. For me the zippered version is a bit too boring as if it could be by any brand. I don’t really care about the lack of lining for this bag.

Hi, I recently received the Slit Pochette in raffia and calfskin. I ordered a zippered version and the interior is lined. I love how carefree the style is, and the size is perfect for me for summer.

Question - how easy is it to change the strap from crossbody to shoulder or even just adjust the crossbody length for my height? I don’t want to start playing with the strap in case the leather shows creasing or there’s too much extra leather hanging off the side? (I have 2 leather puzzles and a basket but this is my first bag of this style, fwiw).

Has any one else played with it, or even bought a calfskin shoulder strap to use the bag as both crossbody with the original strap and shoulder with a new strap?

Thanks so much!

I like the drawstring too, but I have not yet ordered either one.

I don't think the strap of this bag is adjustable.
