Hello,

could anyone point me in a right direction. I’m looking for reviews of Loewe coats. How they fit, sizing, mod shots. If anyone has a coat from Loewe and could comment on quality and sizing that would be much appreciate.

the one I consider is hooded wrap coat.

all the best

My experience is that they tend to be quite oversize.
I dont have this exact coat but I tend to go 1 size down in Loewe.
The quality is superb everything is beautifully made.
I'm a big fan of the RTW.
Since this is a wrap coat and a wool/cashmere mix as opposed to pure cashmere I would advise trying it over a sweater or a jacket to make sure you can layer if needs be.

Question for anyone familiar with Loewe RTW. Wife just purchased this dress and wanted to know how well their cotton dresses take to alterations. She wants to take it in in a couple places and the NY store doesn’t do alterations. Before taking it to our tailor, just wanted to make sure there aren’t any “gotchas”

Can't speak to Loewe, but I don't see why any designer (well made that is) item couldn't be tailored. I had to tailor my clothes at least twice with two weight gains and even though it is in theory much more difficult to make something bigger than smaller, not one of my items deteriorated or anything. They are still going strong, all the dresses, even with foreign fabric added, didn't lose any structure. Yes, you can see the alterations inside, but outside is perfect. Just be sure to work with a tailor or seamstress that you know/got recommended by someone you trust. They will do a wonderful job, but you also need to understand that any alterations might be visible in some way, less so with getting a piece of clothing smaller, but still. And from my own experience, I would'n actually make anything smaller because women tend to fluctuate a lot. Better have a looser fit and then still be able to wear it in 10 years ;)

I'm personally not a fan of Loewe's RTW. I think they don't really know what a female form looks like and in what places more material is going to be needed ;-DDDDD Their clothes seem to be made for models, they look good hanging in the shop, but won't fit the majority of body shapes. And the sizing is all over the place. And the tops are too short (okay, I have a very long torso, but still...). And the prices are astronomical. The fabrics are ok, but cotton is non organic, and there's way too much polyester for a company that wants to place itself as sustainable. I do own a few pieces, and the jeans are a bit of a weird fit, with huge waist and tight hips (hello, we're talking female clothes here!), the bow shirt is great, but the arms could definitely be a bit looser, and the anagram wrap coat is a great piece, but very heavy. I also have 2 dresses from Paula's Ibiza and those are the best pieces from Loewe I have. The fit is decent, almost perfect, they are also visually interesting without verging on almost unwearable

When the wife tried it on in store, it was beautiful. Just that the button at the bust was stretched out to the verge of popping. Not a ton of material on the inside so we decided to go with a larger size that she wants to take in.

That really shouldn't be a problem if you find a reputable person to do it. I would still advise to maybe look for another dress if this one doesn't fit properly. Or take the one that fits overall and just make the bust area a bit bigger? Anyway, it's just me, but I'd go for something that doesn't need to be altered unless absolutely necessary (later in life or because the dress is THE dream dress).
