Hello,

Does anyone own the below chelsea boots and how are you finding the fit? I ordered my regular size and it fits true to size. However - a problem common amongst chelsea boots in general - it's soooo difficult to get on/off because of how snug it is. I'm hoping it'll stretch with time, but my concern is creasing the leather (which is quite soft), especially around the toe box when I'm struggling to get it on. (I think I saw a post on here where someone received a creased boot, which I imagine was a return.) Have you tried sizing up / do things improve with regular use and without too much creasing on this particular leather?

I don't have this exact style but I do have similar Loewe Chelsea boots. I didn't realise that the blue colour I loved was aimed at men until I went to buy them and saw the larger size range. I decided I'd go ahead and get the size 40 but also try a 40 in a red pair that came up under the women's collection. Bear in mind I'm fat so I knew it would be a squeeze, but the women's pair were really tight and I could hardly get them on. The blue pair, however, seemed to be the same foot length and width, but wider around the top. Unfortunately I promptly hurt my foot after they arrived and have barely worn them so couldn't say how well they soften. However, just in case you take a larger size and the same/similar boot is available for men, you could always try a man's boot to see if the top width is more comfortable.

Ooh, thanks for the tip - I hadn't considered looking at the men's section. I'm getting another size up and if that doesn't work out then I'll look at the men's.

I'm just looking for something with a wider "throat" / the top section to be a little higher to angle my foot in since I'm finding it difficult to get my foot in lengthways. Once I've gotten past that part then the boots fit comfortably.

That seemed to be the only difference. I was worried that the men’s boots would be designed for a wider foot (or even a longer one? I’m never sure whether, say, a 40 is a specific length whether the shoe is designed for men or women) but I measured the soles against each other and they seemed to be the same.
