Local jeweler in DC metro area

Do you know any reputable good jeweler or jewelry store in the Northern Virginia/DC metro?

I am looking to purchase solitaire diamond and want to look through local jeweler as well as online dealers.

I would be curious about this too. I have heard that Alan Furman is good but I have not bought from them. They have online but also a store in the MD/DC area.

^^^ Jewelry by Design is a lovely place with a lovely staff! I actually interviewed there for a job a few years back.

I keep hearing about Dominion Jewelers on the radio. They're located in Falls Church. http://www.dominionjewelers.com/

Princess Jewelers in Vienna, VA. http://www.theprincessjewelers.com/ My office is 2 blocks down from them. I haven't had a chance to run over there yet, but they seem pretty nice, from what I can see when I drive by everyday.
