Hi there, I haven’t worn loafers in years and I’ve decided I need to get a pair or two. I always avoided because I have wide feet.

What brands do you recommend for wide feet? Prefer leather - a black pair and a beige/nude pair.

Please help! I don’t know where to start - I’ll be buying online too as there’s nothing decent where I live 🙄

Thanks so much! IMG_5585.jpegIMG_5586.jpegIMG_5543.jpegIMG_5289.jpegIMG_5542.jpeg

I have a narrow heel and a wide-ish foot and I love Gucci and Prada loafers. Also, Stuart Weitzman occasionally makes wide width loafers. Freda Salvador loafers work for my feet, too. One more - The Office of Angela Scott. G/L!

I have wide feet and the Loro piana summer charms are super comfortable for me; however I have the open back ones not a full loafer & I had to go up in size.
I splurged on a mule with a bit of a block heel from them and don't find them as comfortable.
On a much less expensive level, I have some sperry loafers ( not the boat shoes ) that are very comfortable and padded inside too.

Margaux makes shoes, including loafers, in standard, narrow, and wide widths. Most of the time you have to preorder but they are relatively affordable and they have a few different styles of loafers.

I have wide feet and my Loro Piana loafers are super comfy. Worth every penny. My Gucci Jordan loafers haven’t seen daylight in months. I find Chanel to run narrow.
Do you buy your regular size tight and let them stretch? Or do you size up? I've been eyeing these shoes for a long time and not sure about the sizing. TIA

I usually wear a 7.5 in US sizes and a 37.5 in European sizes. I kept seeing reviews to size down for the summer charm loafers because they stretch. I tried the 37 and while it worked lengthwise, it was a bit snug widthwise because I have wide feet. I’ve been wearing the 37.5 very comfortably. They have stretched a tiny bit but barely (definitely not half a size). My SA recommended a small insole if I find it a little too loose and it’s been comfortable. I’ve learned my lesson with so many designer shoes where I hope they loosen up but they rarely do and I never wear my Gucci or Chanel loafers/flats anymore.. I will say that if I went with the 37, i probably would’ve been fine because the suede is so soft (unlike some stiff Italian leather) but i felt the sides of my feet would always spill out over the sole a little. If you don’t have wide feet, size down half a size. If you do have wide feet, don’t size down. Hope that helps! The silhouette if the shoe is sleek but tapered in the front to give a pointed look so naturally it will be just a tad bit narrow for wide footed people.
