Hi everyone!

I have this lovely navy-colored lizard Chaîne d’Ancre cuff and I actually wonder if I should keep it or sell it. [emoji848]

Cons: I do not really wear it because I’m not sure it’s the right style for me (classic/chic shirt and skinny jeans in winter and boho in summer). I tend to see it as more fitted for someone older than I am. I’m in my early thirties and I rather see women in their late 40s or 50s wearing Chaîne d’Ancre jewelry here in Paris. Perhaps is it too classic for me? ‍♀️

Pros: But it’s very sophisticated too and could upgrade any shirt/skinny jeans outfits instantly. And I like that it’s doing the job so easily. [emoji847] It’s also nice when paired with Hermès Clic H, leather Rivale or Kelly bracelets. Or any gold bangle.

What do you think?

I personally like it and find it more comfortable to wear than a solid metal bracelet of the same size since the leather is much softer against skin. The dark leather also makes it a bit edgy and young! I’d prefer it for fall-winter given the leather color — I’m envisioining it with a striped sailor shirt s d skinny jeans. Good luck with your choice.

Well, let me tell you this - I am in my thirties too and I would absolutely wear that bracelet, I love it! I would pair it with other bracelets or wear it alone. I think it's definitely a classic.
But that's my opinion. Does it work for you? Would you miss it if it was gone? Maybe you should try to wear it and see how you feel about it? It would work with a tee in summer but I can totally see it with a jumper as well in the winter. Or even combined with a dress and maybe pearl earrings or nice diamond studs? I see many options for this bracelet, but most important is how you feel about it and if you can make it work for you.
Good luck with your decision !

Thanks everyone for your honest opinions. I guess that what bothers me most is that this piece is not the most ‘obvious’ to me. Certainly because I see so many older ladies wearing it.

And yes; I do know myself. [emoji6] it’s just that sometimes some accessories are... Intimidating? Not so obvious?

**Chanel** I love all your suggestions and I can perfectly imagine wearing the cuff with the outfits you mention.

Who are you? You have to know your own taste, so does this work for you or not? It's not super complicated, and it doesn't matter if others like it or not.

Weird thing but to me this piece is not that obvious. So yes it can be complicated sometimes: being indecisive and not knowing whether one likes an item or not that much happens to all of us.

I have the same question.

I also don't understand the notion that this is a style for "older ladies". I am an older lady and I would not wear this bracelet. On the other hand, I wear my CDCs all the time! I imagine that there are some people wondering "why does that old bat keep wearing a style that is too young for her", but I don't care. A CDC suits my style and I love them - that is all that I consider. If others don't like the style, or don't like the style on me, so be it.

Haha! This made me laugh! I associate this when weight and height are discussed when picking bag sizes. I wear size 14 and 5”3 tall. I don’t care if my b25s don’t “fit my frame” because I LOVE THEM! Hope OP does whatever it is that makes her happy and not worry about other people’s opinions... that is my advice!

P.S. I loooove that bracelet
