THE RECEPTION
Organised by Peregrine Armstrong-Jones, younger halfbrother of the Earl of Snowdon and owner of events company Bentley's Entertainment, it should be a spectacular party. And given that he is being paid £250,000 for his troubles, one would hope so.
But who will be taking the official photographs? Celebrity photographer Mario Testino - famous for shooting glamorous images of Diana - is expected to be the man for the job.
According to the invitations, the reception will be hosted by 'Mrs Roy Hurley' - Elizabeth's mother Angela. Her father died in
THE ENTERTAINMENT
Sir Elton John is expected to do a turn for his favourite lady.
"I've heard that he's going to sing Your Song, with a few modified lyrics," says a guest.
"But Elizabeth isn't really into music, so I shouldn't imagine she's put it at the top of her list of priorities."
And for those who prefer outdoor pursuits there will be the option of a spot of light pheasant shooting in the morning.
THE FOOD
A 'medieval style banquet' including smoked venison, guinea fowl with sage and poached pears will be served. The same meal was served to Henry VIII's sixth wife, Catherine Parr, when she lived at Sudeley. Elizabeth will surely be ravenous, having starved herself for the past fortnight.
Initially she was following a sensible diet (which for her constitutes not letting a scrap of food pass her lips after 4pm), having told friends that being too skinny would make her look older so she wanted to have "a hint of curve".
For the past fortnight, however, that has gone out of the window. "She's down to one meal a day," says a source. "But she has allowed herself the odd fresh organic vegetable shake."
PS: IF YOU THOUGHT ALL THAT WAS LAVISH...
On Sunday the guests will board a late-night Virgin flight to Mumbai, for two nights of celebrations, and then on to Rajasthan for another 72 hours.
The Indian ceremony is said to be taking place in the sandstone Umaid Bhawan Palace, near Jodphur. There will be a mendhi - or henna - ceremony, in which the women have their hands and feet decorated.
There will also be a moonlit dinner with traditional dress and another black-tie dinner, before the actual Indian wedding on March 9. The wedding parade will feature elephants and white horses, while Elizabeth will be dressed in a £4,000 sari created by designer Tarun Tahiliani. There is a post-wedding black-tie dinner before the guests fly home
