I think it looks more substantial in pictures but what do you think? I really didn't want to spend more than this but I'm wondering if I need to upgrade this to a bigger size, but then that also allows the ability to consider the swing ring for that price?

I think this size is beautiful on you! but if you are hesitating because you tried on the larger size and loved it then it might be worth the extra investment.
