I'll be flying alone to Seoul for abdominal lipo (don't think I'm doing the back so it's not 360) and can't lie I definitely feel nervous about it. How bad is the recovery? I thought of doing food delivery but I don't have a Korean number. Will climbing the stairs to use the metro be hard? What did you do during recovery (in the wet and hot summer)? I really don't know what to expect

I’m not sure if this is just me or everyone, but I had 360 liposuction and arm liposuction last July, and I can say the recovery wasn’t as bad as I imagined. I have a walking disability, so imagine me, a disabled person, able to walk back and forth to the clinic and shops without any issues, except for day 1 post-op (my leg muscles felt weaker due to the anesthesia and my medication for spasticity). If I could do it, an able-bodied person should manage just fine.

Here’s a brief summary of my experience:

**Surgery Day:** I felt good with no pain and even asked for coffee after waking up. I was able to walk around the hotel with no issues and felt energetic enough to buy food from a convenience store. The anesthesia was still in effect. I forgot that Koreans are conservative and joked to the doctor about not feeling my intimate area when i came back to the clinic 1d post op, saying it felt like something was missing. I also found removing my compression garment to be challenging, so I decided to wait for the nurse's assistance.

**Day 1:** I felt sick, probably due to the combination of sleep anesthesia and my medication, which includes two different benzodiazepines (my necessary medication for leg spasticity). The anesthesia hadn’t fully worn off, and the most painful part was removing and putting on the compression garment.

**Days 2-5:** The anesthesia started wearing off, but the pain wasn’t unforgettable. The only painful part was removing the compression garment. I was able to move and walk around freely, which actually helps reduce swelling.

**Days 5-7:** Things got better, either because I got used to the pain or because it improved. Removing the garment became easier, though the stitches removal was painful though.

I was able to shower and walk without any issues. In my experience, skin botox and eye Rejuran hurt more than liposuction.

Dr. Ko did a great job since i don’t have much bruises almost none 😅 to be honest he also said he is glad i don’t have much bruising.
