Lip Injections...

I get natural beestung lips each time I eat shellfish and I have realised that I look like Donald Duck (Courtesy description from my bf) so lip injections are the last thing on my mind. T_T

Good luck Loganz, Post pics!

Cosmoplast is $350 (or so) a syringe - and I think you need 1 syringe for top and 1 for bottom.

I will give more details tomorrow after I get back from the Dr. Cosmoplast is a human collagen whereas restylane (around $500 a syringe) is hyalauric acid.

My PS's receptionist said cosmo is more popular for lip-plumping; so, I scheduled to give it a go.

Oh, and I went to inamed's website for info there too.
$500.00 for restylane!! what a bargain!! (not where I live).

I haven't done it because I look like a bloody porn star anyway lol Tha's what my small lipped friends call me but I don't have any problem with plastic surgery. I Had a lipo on my belly after having my son. I hope everything turns out fine and that you are happy with it. It's pretty ceap isn't it? In germany it's far more expensive ca. 500€. I'm thinking about a little botox for my forhead...
Brave girl! Can't wait to see pics!

I'm afraid to ask, but where do they get human collagen from?

Well, I found out the human collagen is taken from foreskin. LOL

Don't tell the hubby's and get it done or you may never get kissed again.

Anywho...I got resytlane because Abbey my nurse recommended it over cosmoplast. She said cosmoplast is very subtle and since I was going for volume and not line filling I should go with the restylane. Oh, and yes 1cc of restylane (enough for upper and lower lip) was $525.

So...here are my before and after shots...the last after shot will be taken on Sunday after the swelling has subsided, it hurt like a *****, she gave me a dental block but I am one of the few people in the world who get hyper-sensitive to lidocaine and not numb by it....live and learn, next time we are using marcaine.

Thank you ladies you are very sweet.

I could put lipgloss on now, my PS office is an hour from my house, they give you this long ice stick to use on the swelling, so, I did not put any gloss on for that reason. I looked funny driving home with this big glow-stick looking thing stuck to my face...lol  :P

Looks awesome!

Well, I'll give you a little nursing knowledge that I have about these items. Most collagen fillers last only several months so be prepared for doing it again if you are happy with the results. Also, I'm sure you've seen women who have used WAY too much fillers and have lips that look like trouts!! Hopefully your doctor is a good one and will refrain from making you look that way. A lot of people prefer to inject both the upper and lower lips so you can be proportional. Collagen is creamy and smooth like peanut butter and easy to manipulate and that is why it works well for filling in fine lines and the small wrinkles people get above their top lip (vermillion border). Restylane is hyaluronic acid and is a thick gel that stays where it is applied. Most doctors prefer to use it where more volume is needed, like augmenting lip size or for medium to deep lines. I have had Restylane to my nasolabial folds, but not to my lips. It hurt like a ***** so be prepared!

you look great.
thanks for posting pic's  i've looked into this and going to do it this summer, I was hoping 1cc would work..
thanks again.
