Links within tPF in PMs - getting error

I got a PM tonight with a link to a birthday thread. When I clicked on the link, a message quickly flashed and then I got a Page Cannot Be Displayed Error. I got a screen print of the message. I have not ever had this message before when linking within tPF.

I was able to click on the message and it gave me a message about it not being a good idea to allow links to intranets. I know that tPF is safe but I sort of hate to do a global approval, especially if perhaps this is just a temporary situation on tPF.

BTW, I copied and pasted the link and was able to get to the thread without the message.

Any info would be appreciated. Here is a screen print of the message.

Hmmm, I think the problem is that as you can see in the address bar of my screen print, the http is showing up twice in the link. I don't know if this is something the person who sent the PM did or if this is in the programming of tPF. But I think that is what the problem might be.

That is certainly the problem. Sometimes people mess links up, those lead to broken pages.
