Hello Hermes lovers,

I have been wanting to get a Lindy 30 for a while now and keep putting it off because I don’t want to end up making an expensive mistake.

If you own this size, would you please share if you 1. Still like it and 2. Still use it.

If you owned this size in the past and decided to let it go, what did you not like about it?

Thank you for your candid responses!

I have three Lindys in three different sizes: L30, L26, and Mini Lindy. Of the three, I use L26 the most. I found L30 to be bulky and I'm even thinking of letting this go (just to highlight the fact that I haven't been using my L30 at all in the past 3 years). L26 is a lovely size, you can still fit quite a lot. A friend prefers L30 as this still retains its dumpling shape. I'm not too convinced!

I adore my Lindy 30 in clemence. I do love big bags, and I also probably carry more than the average person. I love how it still gives a beautiful fortune cookie slouch when it’s full of all my essentials, which the 26 didn’t do. I find it super comfortable in my arm crook or on my shoulder. It’s one of my most used bags.

I have two 30s and a couple in the smaller sizes and use them for different needs. When this bag was first released it really struck a cord with me, the innovative design was a beautiful combination of form and function. The fortune cookie fold is seen best in a size 30 especially in Swift and I use mine mainly for travelling now. If you need the capacity, it works really well both hand held and shoulder carry. HTH!

I've had three different sizes of Lindy, the mini, L26, and L30. The only one I didn't like and sold without any regret is the L26. To me, the mini lindy is super adorable and easy to use for my daily needs. L30 is edgy, casual, relaxed, and luxurious. L26 is kind of an awkward in between size for me given my height - not small enough to be cute, and not big enough to fit comfortably under my arm. It actually reminds me of my small Loewe puzzle, except that I love my puzzle better for its long shoulder strap. That being said, I am not in any way suggesting that L26 is a bad size. Instead, I think Lindy is a beautiful bag and any of the three popular sizes has its unique beauty and pros. If possible, I strongly suggest going to a consignment store to try on different sizes before you make a decision. Each and every one of us has different body shapes and preferences, so what most people love may not be the one you love.

To your second question, I don't use L30 as much as my mini Lindy because I simply do not carry much.

I own a Lindy 30 in Clemence, I got 4 years ago.
In my opinion this is not a big bag, in regard with my build and the bags I'm used to wearing.
I'm totally satisfied of this purchase: the shape has litterally be seen nowhere else, and it has a great capacity without being too big when carried folded.
That must be due to its square base, I already wondered many times how that can be !
I get many compliments on mine, but I guess it's also due to its color (vert Bosphore)

So, I've never had a 30, but I had a 26 which I had to sell for certain reasons (long story is it was stolen from me, used, retrieved by police, cleaned, spa'ed, and I tried to keep it but couldn't).

I loved that bag and while I had it, I told myself there was definitely a spot for a 30. The 26 didn't hold quite that much and I felt a 30 would be perfect.

I wouldn't hesitate to get a 26 again, as well as a 30 in the future. Such a great and unique bag. I never 'got' the Lindy till I had one.

I have a 30 and a 26, both Clemence (workhorse leather for me) and I feel there’s a place for both in my closet. I think the 30 is the most beautiful iteration of this style, but it can feel large if you’re used to small bags. The ergonomics are brilliant though, and I prefer a shoulder-carry bag to have the option of hand carry when I want to switch, and this style is an elegant way of meeting that need.

The 26 serves when I simply want a smaller bag, but it’s quite spacious.

I also would say that because both are in colors that serve as neutrals for me there are other styles that I would repeat before adding another Lindy.

I'm really pleased to hear the Lindy 30 has received so much love in the using. I don't have one, but if I had to buy a Lindy, I'd go for a 30 and carry it mostly in-hand, the way I carry my Bol or Ks, just the strap as occasional support.

The main criticism I hear about L 30 is the 'bulky' depth. The original aesthetic concept ('fortune cookie' look) needs space to be able to fold as per the design so it's better not to fill the bag to capacity.

My first H bag was the Lindy 30. I adore it! It is my workhorse. Like to hand carry but also thankful for strap when my hands are full. Love the quirky fortune cookie shape. I don’t carry a ton but glad to have the space to carry more if I need to. Like others have mentioned I get lots of compliments on it.

ETA: I love the 30 so much that I have another on my wishlist.

The 30 is my most comfortable and useful Hermes bag and I absolutely love how it looks. I tried a 26 but when I filled it with my essentials, it had a square shape rather than the more appealing dumpling that others have cited. Because of the way the bag is designed, it's so easy to carry on my shoulder - I just kinda sling it so that it sits behind my arm and it doesn't feel bulky at all. If I had to choose just one Hermes bag to have forever, the Lindy 30 would be it.

I along with many of you, have a Lindy 30 in Etoupe. I fell in love with the color & everything
about the bag worked for me including size. I don't mind a big bag as I also carry a K35
I have since used it to travel to Paris with & have found it to be comfortable, fit my essentials,
take me from day into the evening & to be under the radar.
I do get compliments on this bag & especially when I am wearing winter white or neutrals
it's just a great contrast
