  1. Lohan= Monroe? I don't think so. Oh and gotta love the shooting idea.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Actress Lindsay Lohan wants to entertain U.S. troops in Iraq and follow in the footsteps of her idol, Marilyn Monroe, who visited soldiers in Korea during the 1950s. But first, Lohan plans to learn how to shoot a gun.
"I've been trying to go to Iraq with (U.S. Senator) Hillary Clinton for so long. Hillary was trying to work it out, but it seemed too dangerous," Lohan, 20, told Elle magazine in an interview that hits newsstands on Wednesday.
"I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did, when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops by herself," Lohan said. "It's so amazing seeing one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be."
A spokesman for the former first lady, now a New York Democrat expected to make her own bid for the White House in 2008, said Lohan had expressed an interest in going to Iraq.
"It was suggested to her that if she really wanted to, she could pursue doing so through the USO (United Services Organization)," Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said.
Lohan, whose film credits include "Mean Girls," "Herbie Fully Loaded" and "A Prairie Home Companion," said she already has plans to prepare for a possible visit to Iraq.
"I'm not afraid of going," she said. "My security guard is going to take me to a gun range when I get back to L.A., and I'm going to start taking shooting lessons. He says if I'm going to go there I should know how to shoot."
Lohan's interview comes a little more than a week after she was publicly chided by film producer James G. Robinson, who accused her of failing repeatedly to show up for work on time during the shooting of her latest film, "Georgia Rule."
Lohan's representatives had said the actress had been taken to the hospital for treatment of heat exhaustion
  2. LMAO!

riiiight!   If she goes to Iraq she needs to know how to shoot, like she'll be packing heat and on the front line or something!:roflmfao:

I'll be surprised if she's actually courageous enough to go, but will be happy if she does.
But for her to have always aspired to be a pin-up girl and thinking she need to know how to shoot? That's is hilarious to me!!!

Kathy Griffin went and it was awesome!
  3. I doubt she could even find Iraq on a map.
  4. ^LOL! Good point, thank goodness she's not a pilot! LMBO!
  5. What an opportunist IMO. She wants to turn a war into a publicity stunt. I haven't read the interview but I have a hard time believing she is doing any of this for the troops.
  6. Maybe she can ask tart JS for some pointers or directions!
  7. bwaahahaha! How can one person be so dumb?! There is a world of wrong with everything she said. Pin-up? Lindsay lowdown could never pull that off. Keep aspiring to be that "sex-kitten" miss lowdown, and good luck! and learning to shoot a gun???!:roflmfao: because like swanky said, she'll be on the front line and all that. Idiot.
  8. What makes her think that the troops even want to see her???
  9. She's a moron . Just my two cents .
  10. geez...does she really think learning how to shoot a measly gun is going to help when bombs are dropping and machine guns are popping?
  11. Uh no. She ain't no sex kitten or anything close to Marilyn Monroe.
  12. Can we leave her there?
  13. Wow she aspired to be a pinup, yeah Lindsey don't waste our time !
  14. OK...this was the best!!!:yahoo:
  15. Moron is a compliment when it comes to LL. And I agree with jilly...leave her behind!!
