When coach bags are advertised as limited edition, when do they take them off the market? Is there a time limit on them like a few months or until the end of the year?

No, not that I know of. They just make a certain number...and when they are gone, they are gone (unless they make another batch).
Honestly, I would not consider a Coach to be LE without being numbered. A lot of so called LE's show up at the outlet en masse... (Croc Audrey anyone?)
So, don't let that alone make you buy a certain bag.
I am sure a lot of other TPF'ers will have more to add to this.

Go Pokes!
I would call customer service or your SA at your local store and have them check how many of that bag are still in the system. That may give you a better idea.

I think the true "limited edition" bags are numbered and sometimes say stuff like "Bleeker Store Exclusive" (in NY) or ... even a Pilot bag could be considered limited edition...
