Please don't buy into all the haters saying the "paper thin" and "painted", your leather looks gorgeous! And if it's anything like mine, the leather is buttery soft just enjoy it, because you got a good one!

Each Bal bag is different, it's leather so of course it would be.

Some bags have papery/thin/dry leather etc. I don't see anything wrong with pointing that out. This is a bag forum, we discuss bags. People are not haters just because they point out an issue with a certain kind of leather.

The problem is only when people generalise and say "all 06 leather is thin" or "all 05 leather was fab" because that is simply not true.

Just got this Crackle Bowling bag from Farfetch! It is adorable, I love the hardware, the leather looks like it will soften up a bit. It can fit wallet, large brush, sunglasses, small cosmetic, iphone & keys. I'm going to take her out for the first time today!

Congrats! Totally edgy with the cracked leather.

Here she is! My very first Bal in Gris Tarmac. I ordered Gris Tarmac and Rose Thulian at the same time but GT was through the website and RT was via an employee at Neimans who accidentally sent me Bonbon instead so now I have to wait who knows how long for her to send the correct bag. At least I have GT to keep me company. LOVE IT!!!!!!

I was incredibly lucky to get this 07 Chèvre GSH Violet City at an amazing price. I had forgotten what a chameleon colour this is - sometimes subdued like Raisin, under other lighting it is a bright vibrant jewel-like purple.

Please be aware that when I point out that I feel some of the newer bals have a "painted on" look to them that this observation is my opinion. I've not noticed an issue with thin leather.
