Hi everyone! Thought it might be fun to hear people's responses to the below.

Let's say you could only have ONE item from Hermes in the following colours:
- black
- gold
- etoupe
- etain
- orange
- rouge H

What item (type/size/leather) would you choose and why?

I think mine would be:
- black birkin 30 in Togo GHW, a classic
- gold birkin 30 in clemence GHW, is there a dreamier combo than gold w gold??
- etain epsom kelly 25 sellier, perfect for evenings, epsom does something special w etain
- orange swift Kelly dog bracelet GHW, a fun pop
- rouge H box Kelly 32, soooo elegant

I actually don't think I love the etoupe enough to want anything in it...

I'll play!! Here are mine:

- black B35 in Barenia, Brushed silver - rugged, casual tote meant to be used as a workhorse in hopes it develops an amazing patina
- gold - can this be barenia or is that cheating? I would pick a B30 in natural barenia with PHW. However, if barenia is not allowed, then I might not put gold on my list. I have a BF B30 which is close to gold in my opinion but the leather makes a huge difference!
- etain B30 in togo - on my wishlist with RGHW though I would honestly consider all HW's in this color- perfect neutral bag in my opinion
- orange bearn wallet in chèvre or epsom w/ PHW - not an orange person so it would have to be something small and fun
- rouge H box Kelly 32, retourne - vintage from my birth year. Literally rouge H in box is a DREAM (as is raisin box)

I don't like etoupe at all as it looks terrible on me.

But I want to add RAISIN (in box, of course) in which case, I would choose a Dalvy

- black - B30 in chevre/veau jonathan - happy with either GHW/PHW
- gold - B35 in VJ GHW - I already have this luscious combination!
- etoupe - Evelyne III 29 in clemence PHW - I already have this!
- etain - Verrou 23 in permabrass - I saw this once in the store and a regret - didn't get this!
- orange - Picotin 18/22 in PHW in Taurillon Maurice - I always think a Picotin must be in a happy bright colour!
- rouge H - K25/32 sellier in boxcalf either PHW/GHW - or can I further cheat and also say a vintage Dalvy in boxcalf in GHW?

Fun!

Black- Is a new fantasy Kelly 25 “Opera” in Black silk with 18kt white gold guilloche hardware and a back outside pocket for theater programs.

Gold- Another fantasy item...A Hermes Western saddle in Gold With sterling Medor stud conchos. Just because I’d like to see what they could do.

Etoupe- A classic library chair in Etoupe suede

Etain- A B35 Etain in Box , Guilloche PHW with a Rouge Casaque interior

Orange- H Orange suede vest, slightly longer, with silk scarf pattern back (which pattern??) and matching silk blouse

Rouge H- Interior of my car

- etoupe - Kelly 28 GHW (hopefully next year)
- etain - Birkin 25 RGHW
- orange - I think I would pass? If I had to do something, Constance 18 swift
- rouge H - Let me sub in my Rouge Casaque K 25 PHW!

My dream wish list would be

- black: B35 GHW in Chèvre as a work bag
- gold: B30 Barenia GHW - my absolute dream bag!
- etoupe: B30 GHW Togo
- etain: K28 retourne GHW
- orange: B30 GHW - my pop of color
- rouge H: HAC32 Chèvre, GHW, also as a work bag when I need a little 'pick me up'

If I could do replacements, I would swap etain with gris asphalt and orange with sth. more corally such as rouge jaipur, rouge pivoine or rouge texas.

- black (Birkin 25, Kelly 25 sellier or mini K in chèvre )
- gold (Birkin 25, Kelly 25 sellier or Kelly Cut)
- etoupe (Birkin 25 Kelly 25 sellier or mini K)
- etain (Birkin 25, Kelly 25 sellier in Togo or mini Evie in clemence)
- orange (Mini Kelly or Kelly Pochette)
- rouge H (Kelly 25 sellier in chèvre or Kelly Pochette in swift)

So, why did I choose mainly B/K/KP/KC or mini K or Evie TPM? Because after trying different Hermès bag styles over the years, I am at a point where I know which bags suit me and my lifestyle. So, now I stick to those rather than make more bag mistakes
