I agree, I keep hearing how suede is the new 'it' thing for Fall. I tend to want things before they flood the market, and then my options are limited. I remember years ago looking high and low for a grey leather bag and no one seemed to be doing anything in grey. A year later, it was everywhere and tons of options. I also had the same problem with pale pink. When I wanted it, 4 yrs ago, it was hard to find. Now, everyone has a pale pink or did at least for their Spring lines in '15 and '16.I'm also in the market for a suede bag. I think they will be popular this Fall and I don't currently have one. Must fix that.....![]()
I used to think so, too, but suede can be maintained without too much hassle with the right cleaners and pre-treatments.I swore off suede shoes and bags. Too much hassle to maintain them in a good condition.
I am not well schooled on suede, so I appreciate any and all tips! I like the powder/cornstarch trick! For the suede brushes, are they all the same, or some brands better than others? What type of pre-treatments are also good?

I've been looking for a suede bag too! This is the Vivian suede & smooth leather woven hobo. In the color cinnamon. Found it at the outlet this weekend for $134. And I Absolutely Love It!

Gorgeous! I love my Elyse too! I used the rain and stain protectant on it for now. Thankfully we haven't had any bad weather while I had it out, but I am also hoping it keeps any dirt away too.![]()
