I was wondering if anyone has ever had a chain lengthened at Tiffany in such a way that there are rings along the chain so that you can wear it at different lengths?

For example, I have a Roberto Coin Tiny Treasure Scottie dog that came with a necklace that you can hook at either 16 or 18 inches. I love that you can adjust it to fall in a flattering way according to what top you are wearing that day.

I don't think Tiffany offers such an option. I have the oval link chain in sterling silver and bought it in the 18 inch length (the 16 and 18 inches are the same price = $50 USD) and have worn this necklace in a shorter length by clasping it on one of the inner links. - BTW, is this bad practice? Do you think I'm harming the chain by doing so?

Here is the link to the necklace in gold, a silver version also exist.

Thanks for the reply lovedove. I will call Tiffany today to find our for sure.

Love that necklace you got. It looks so versatile. I wouldnt think that clasping to one of the necklace links would harm it.
