Greetings! I just received a poker fonce and a violet clutch (possibly dark violet) for my birthday. They are both new but very dry and with white patches. I found a tarago shoe cream that matches poker fonce perfectly, but should I use leather honey on both instead? I have been searching for these 2 colors forever, but I am afraid that using either the lh or tarago will change/ruin both colors. Thank you for your advice. :fox:

Please refer to the Leather honey thread in the maintenance sub-forum. You will find alot of information on LH there. It should not affect color as in adversely changing. Color is enriched just from moisturizing the leather.

Cannot comment on the other product as. I have never heard of it. Good luck

Thank u! I've heard it works wonders on tans, browns, and black colors, but I was afraid to try on greens and purples. I will check the thread out. Tarago show polish cream is a pigmented wax like shoe polish which comes in an array of balenciaga like colors (except for the purples). I'm too scared to use any product considering the ugly residue balenciaga nourishing cream left on my rose thulian. Thanks

Lurker here. Not a Bal expert but have done my share of amateur leather product-mucking. Leather honey and shoe cream are totally different products. I believe Tarrago, like Meltonian, is a polish -- more on the surface of leather. LH seeps into leather to help it resist cracking/drying, as well as providing a bit more shine on the surface. You can use them complementarily. On a dyed colorful leather, LH shouldn't leave color residue; on an undyed leather it does cause some darkening.
