Leather The Tote Bag Wear & Tear - Corners?

I’ve noticed mine (mini and small) have received wear and tear on the corners. Has anyone else experienced this? It didn’t seem to be common or mentioned in YouTube wear and tear videos. I’m wondering if it’s something I am wearing? Common? It’s on the top edges of the bags.

My leather one looks very good and I've used it about a year almost daily. I haven't seen people complain, either. Did you apply something to it, or maybe wear stuff, like hand sanitizer, that could be an issue??
