Hi! I recently purchased a Loewe puzzle bag second hand in smooth leather (I believe), and I was wondering what everyone would suggest to clean/condition it?

The bag isn’t used, but seems like it was left in a closet. It’s a bit dusty etc.

Any recommendations would be amazing! I am in Canada, so something I can easily get would be appreciated! :)

you could use a leather cleaner and then apply the conditioner. If you don’t want to use a leather cleaner the. Try wiping it down with alcohol free baby wipes before conditioning it.

I have an older model puzzle bag with the feet and thicker strap. I use Cadillac to condition it and it does a wonderful job, including smoothing out a huge finger nail scratch (my fault). I use the bag almost daily and love it! The leather looks amazing and is so buttery soft.

Thanks for the thread!
I just bought myself a loewe puzzle and my SA said that leather conditioner isn't really needed...
But just wanted to know what are you guys thoughts on it and if you use any waterproofing spray + your recommendation on sprays?

My bag is light colored though so Im also wondering if the leather conditioner might darken it. Thanks!

I have the tan color and I did not notice that the Cadillac conditioner changed the color at all. But I have an older bag that was a bit dry when I purchased it on the resale market. Here is a picture of it I took this week that I posted on the forum. I have not put waterproof spray on it. But I have been happy with the results with the leather conditioner since my bag it a bit older. I always test it out on an area that is inconspicuous and wait a day or two just to be safe.

I don't think you need a waterproofing spray, it's pretty water resistant already.
I didn't notice any darkening when conditioning my tan or stone blue puzzles, but I only do it once or twice a year.
