Leather Care for Washed Leather Linea Pelle bags?

I just bought my first Linea Pelle bag (which will NOT be my last!), and I love the super squishy washed leather, but I am concerned that I need to protect it soon before it gets wet or damaged.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use for this type of leather which will not change the surface texture or color?

My sister and I both had one. We sprayed it liberally with Wilson's Leather & Suede protector and the leather remained soft and unstained. I use Wilson's on everything except B Bags & Coach Legacy bags.
