Leather care for Tod's bags

I looked around a bit and am hoping for more information from those of you who already have Tod's bags.

I just bought a new-to-me Ivy Shopping Grande tote and I would like to pre-treat the leather if that is recommended. I wrote to Tod's Customer Service about recommended products and got this response: "There is not a particular product or conditioner to use, however, the best suggestion is to take your tote to a leather spa/leather specialist to be treated."

Do you any of you have more specific advice from your Tod's SAs?

I received a similar line from the SA with whom I worked. I just use Cadillac on my bags, including the one I purchased from Tod's. Hope that helps.

The best thing to do is to take it to a leather specialist if pre-treating of the leather is needed.
