I've wanted a Longchamp Le Pliage Large tote for a while and this morning my gunmetal bag arrived from Selfridges in London. I'm a bit disappointed though because I can't really see the horse and jockey stamp on the leather front flap. The logo is so pretty and it's one of the reasons for ordering the bag.

In the other pictures I'm seeing around the forum the motif is much more visible. It's not possible to get to the store to choose it myself unfortunately. I'm going to exchange it for a model with a less 'knobbly' leather which may help the stamp to show up more.

I've just ordered the Le Pliage Neo Medium in gunmetal grey and I'm returning the one pictured above. From looking at various pictures it sounds like the Neo has thicker nylon and a more prominent logo.

…….. I ordered the Neo in navy as well. I can see this might be a slippery slope! My justification (ahem) is that both grey and navy are versatile colours and will see me through summer and winter.

My navy and my gunmetal grey Le Pliage Noe Medium bags have arrived and they’re lovely. These are definitely a better choice for my needs, a bit more structured and a little ‘smarter’ - rather elegant in fact. The medium size appears to be the same size as the classic Le Pliage large tote I had yesterday, so there’s tons of room. I can see myself wanting one of these in the smaller size as well!

I haven’t been able to show this very well in the pictures, but the fabric on the navy bag is quite shiny and almost satin like. On the grey bag the fabric is completely matte. The racehorse and jockey look lovely on the matte leather.

Strap length - I’m slightly over 5’6”, worn on the shoulder the bag sits about 3 inches below my hip. I’ll have to get used to that as it’s a bit longer than I’m accustomed to. Worn cross body the length is fine, but I’m not much of a cross body wearer.

I am glad the Neos work out better for you. I am 5"10 and I find the strap long for me as well. I own the small Neo and it is a splendid bag to use. Perhaps the wide variety of Longchamp straps can offer a solution to use the bag as a shoulder bag.

There are some adjustable straps this season which are not listed on the UK website yet. You will see some of them via the link below. Not sure if you are near to a Longchamp boutique? It might be worthwhile a visit to try your Neo with the various straps and find one that works for you.

I have 5 neo but I myself prefer the classic style. I think the classic you received was defective because on all (about 20 lol) of my classic the horse and jockey is very clear. Glad you are happy with your choices!
