Le Pliage Cuir Handles - Short and Long

Hi all, this might be a total newbie question but - I am interested in getting a new Le Pliage Cuir, medium. I used to have a large Le Pliage Nylon with the long handles and prefer the long handles to short ones... But all I see on the Longchamp website for Cuir are short handles and detachable shoulder straps? I swear I once saw a long handle Cuir at Nordstrom... What happened to those? Thanks for your help!
