Any thoughts on the release of Vaccarello's new design for Spring/Summer 2021?

I didn't expect to like it but the yellow caught my attention in store. I'm not a big fan of the YSL logo bags, and this is another option without a prominent logo. It's a decent bag but the magnetic closure doesn't feel luxe.

I like how it doesn't have a YSL logo in the front because they now have too many bags with that. The styles look a bit lazy when they all rely on a big YSL logo to sell.

That being said, I would have preferred the chain rivets on the lock to look like the fat and geometric ones seen on a lot of chunky chain necklaces. The rounded oval rivets doesn't look very Saint Laurent to me. The closing mechanism is interesting, though. It looks like part of the chain stays on the body of the bag and acts as "docking" clasps for the part on the flap.

Did you end up purchasing the yellow? It’s a great colour. There are about 3 people talking about this bag on the internet and I’m wondering why it fell so flat

Indeed, it's a great colour. I didn't purchase it. I was simply window-shopping and not really in the market to buy a new bag when I've got my heart set on a piece of Cartier jewellery.

I received this bag for Christmas and the shoulder strap broke the first time I used it! The clasp snapped in half. Was so disappointed in the quality and the service by YSL. Instead of receiving an immediate refund it has to go to H/O and they are saying I can only receive a credit note. This is not lawful in Australia so I'll be fighting this.

I got a refund! Will not be shopping at Saint Laurent again.
