I'm fighting the urge to buy the Le 5 a 7 Bea bag in either Deer Skin or Suede. I've been wanting that bag for more than a year and not buying it because I have too many totes in my collection. Right now it's between the Bea bag and the Gucci Maxi softbit shoulder bag.

One of them will win in the end (even though I really really do not need any more bags let alone tote bags).

Tough one - they are both beautiful! The fact you are still thinking about the Bea for more than a year is a sign you really love it! Have you seen it IRL?

I hear you...do any of us really need any more bags? But doesn't stop us from loving them!

I would not buy it in suede unless you don't mind your bag showing a lot of marks particularly near the logo. I think the logo closure will rub on the suede and pretty quickly I think it will look worn in those areas. I have a small Tom Ford hobo bag in a dark brown suede and am careful with how I open and close it. But the way the bag is designed, the closure rubs on the suede even when not being opened/closed and it got wear markings in those areas very quickly. It also got wear markings where my fingers may touch the suede to open the bag.

I've seen it and tried it on more times than I can count, and talk myself out of it every time. I do love the bag, but keep wishing I can resist it. I have way way too many bags, and I am tying to restrain myself.

I own a lot of suede bags, coats, shirts, shoes, belts & trousers. I looooove suede. Also I already own 2 Le 5 a 7 small hobo shoulder bags and the hook really is not a problem for me.

Oooh do you have any products that you like for your suede items in particular? The only thing I use is Carbon Pro but at one point I think I will need more care supplies like a suede brush. I have a few suede bags but it's really only my Tom Ford bag that I use a lot at the moment. I have 2 YSL suede bags but they are lighter colored and I don't wear them much at the moment but I'm hoping to use them more as my kid gets older / more careful / too heavy to carry.

I have my things professionally cleaned at a local leather shop. They do a great job.
