Bought their Mezzo wallet after shopping in the showroom to check out the leathers IRL. I had gone to college in Chicago where they are based and had always loved the idea of customizing colors and straps and such but never had the need or budget for one of their pieces then. Went to visit some friends and family in Chicago over the summer and went to check out the leathers and get an idea of what everything looked and felt like before committing.
I was really interested in the iridescent oil-slicky leather but didn't want the whole thing like that so opted to use it as the stripe with a smooth medium grey body to contrast all the black on black stuff already in my closet.
I usually carry a long wallet in a larger bag or with a wrist strap as a wristlet and scale back to a card case when I don't need as much or am carrying a smaller bag. But I find that sometimes I would like to carry more than what fits in a card case but still less than what fits in my long wallet. Specifically for times I might need to take my daily medications with me or to secure my house key a bit more so it doesn't inadvertently fall out of my bag. I was looking for something with a zippered pocket to keep those things safe and this seemed like the best way to spend a giftcard I had.
