Lady Dior vs Montaigne 30

Dear ladies and gents, would like to hear your opinion: which one do you think I should get for my next bag between the two?

I’m looking for something I could use casually and a bit dressed up too, like a day-to-night bag. I think both lady dior in small or montaigne 30 fit the criteria. For lady dior i’m thinking either black in GHW or ultramatte black, and for montaigne 30 is also in black







I used to have a navy blue lady dior in small but sold it because i want to purchase the black one. But came across montaigne 30 which I think is a classic silhoutte and I love that you can double the strap and use it as shoulder bag.

I’m gonna insert my current bag collection so you’ll get the idea.

Hi! Lovely collection! If you originally had the small lady dior but sold it to get the black, I would stay on course and get the black lady dior. You'll eventually want it even if your get the other one.
It's also a classic. Most of your pieces are classics in your collection. I've noticed with dior, the lady dior is the only one to have stand the test of time.

I think if you want something that can dress up I would do the small lady Dior, it’s beautiful and will be easy to pair casually or in a more dressy way. If I were you, I would opt for the black hardware just because it’s unique.

i really want a small lady Dior so I can’t speak from experience but I do have the Montaigne which I actually bought *because* I wanted a more casual and carefree bag next. My collection is mostly Chanel which easily dress up and wanted something more chill. I have tried to wear it with the doubled straps on my shoulder but I find the loops of the folded strap just stick out too much for my taste and look kinda goofy. But if you want an elegant and structured everyday bag, I would totally go for it! I think it’s really pretty and I didn’t find it scratched as easily as YouTube reviews said.

I would say the Lady Dior. I had a montaigne and sold it because it didn't fit as many things because the bottom of the bags folds in. I loved the look but felt myself having to downsize when I switched to it. Ended up not caring it as much as I thought I would. I did a video on that experience if that helps. Never had the Lady Dior but Def want one.

I recommend the Lady Dior, but in ultra glossy black:

This is one of my favourite Lady Dior bags. It is even nicer in person! The patent makes it more scratch-resistant, and it is actually an extra-glossy patent leather. Your collection currently doesn't have a patent leather bag, and I think this would be a perfect addition. I suggest the small size.

I vote for the ultra matte black LD. Forever classic, the matte touch is soooo cool, very versatile for day and night (strap on during the day), fits my essentials. I’m hopefully purchasing the ultra matte small black LD for myself as my next bag! Good luck.

Ultra Matte black LD. What a stunner! Would look great with your lovely collection, too. If you want to go a bit less edgy, the LD with gold hw is also beautiful. But with your collection, the Ultra Matte is definitely a bit different!
