Hi All,

My SA offered me a mini lady dior in lizard with crystals. I do not own any exotics besides two lizard charms from Hermes. The bag is very beautiful in a pink color...I am tempted but worried about resale should I find myself not using it much. I am always tossed up about exotics because they are so beautiful, but also the process of how they attain the skins leaves me second guessing wanting one. I wouldnt want to even make a profit if I ever sold, just wouldnt want to lose too much on my purchase if hat makes sense. I tried to look it up but couldnt find much information. The two bags I saw resale were well under retail. Any advice is much appreciated. I do love the way the bag looks and my only hesitation really is the resale price should I find myself regretting the purchase.

Hello! I own a lizard diorama and purchased it as after I heard and confirmed that the diorama is going to be discontinued. Purchased full price from the boutique knowing full well that I’d be lucky if I got back 1/3 the price of resold one day. I still purchased it. The bag really struck me like no other.
In the 15 months of owning it, I’ve only worn 5 times max. But Covid is to blame for that .... it still looks brand new, even being made in 2017 I believe, so no issue with the scales lifting etc. I just can’t wait to be able to truly enjoy wearing it once this pandemic is behind us.
I say, if you’re absolutely in love with it, purchase it and don’t look back. I’m too nervous about buying pre-owned, but if you know a seller then that’s always an option so you don’t pay full price. Good luck!

Do lizard scales lift? I thought only python, snakeskin, etc lifted, but lizard would stay flat.

Thank you so much for your reply. I decided to pass on the bag, as I wasnt sure I'd be brave enough to wear it out haha, and it would really bother me to get so little back on a bag I never use, especially for an exotic, should I decide to let it go. Ended up purchasing a Chanel instead lol

Happy to hear you love yours even thought there hasn't been much of a chance to wear it out. Wishing you many happy future outings with your beauty! I think the chouce to take it was smart, since that model is discontinued as well...always means there could be a demand for someone hunting your gem.

Thanks for sharing the pics @mmaston. Chanel is a safe bet, especially if you're looking to get money back. However, an exotic mini Lady Dior is so special! The rosegold from last year and this pink are so dreamy!

For sure it is beautiful. I did consider it for a couple of days, but decided that if I got an exotic I'd wait for my dream H combination hehe. But they are definitely all beautiful which makes it hard sometimes. Then the only thing to do is be honest with yourself about if you just "have to have it" or not lol
