I have been looked at a Lady Dior Forever. I mean FOREVER. And I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on a medium after visiting the store a few days ago. The sales person mentioned "champagne" hardware, but I'm guessing it's actually what's referred to as "light gold". I was looking at a patent bag. I'm looking at a few lightly used/new resale bags - and yes I'm having them authenticated - and noticing two things that may help me decide what to get. I see resales are all being sold with gold or silver hardware and some of the pics have what appears to be brighter gold. Is there a guide that shows what years which hardware was available? Also, pictures I'm seeing (and have authenticated) show a cloth interior, but I'm noticing on the Dior site that the interior is suede. Is there a guide that shows what interior was offered during certain years? I didn't even think about the interior, but it looks like the sued may help keep the shape and I'm assuming is going to more durable than whatever the cloth lining is. Thanks for any guidance!

The hardware for the Lady Dior changed to pale gold ("champagne") during the last few years of Galliano's time at Dior, which was around 2008-2011. The black Lady Dior still retained the yellow gold hardware at the time. Then Raf Simons' time at Dior saw mostly pale gold and silver hardware, although I believe the black Lady Dior still had the yellow gold hardware. During this entire time, the Lady Dior had jacquard lining, going from Dior logo monogram to Cannage in 2012, and then under Maria Grazia (starting in 2018) started turning into sueded microfiber (I don't think it's suede although I may be wrong). During this transition, the black Lady Dior adopted the pale gold hardware at some point.

The lining choice doesn't usually maintain the shape of the bag in the case of the Lady Dior, but rather the surface material of the bag, and the way the bag is stored.

I have 2 dior bags and I think the interior is suede. Never questioned whether it was real suede or microfiber. I will have to check more closely.
