i am starting to think it's the way i walk. this happens to most of my shoes, but when i think about messing up my louboutins because of it, it starts to upset me. is there anyway to avoid scratching up the very tip of your shoes? i think i must drag my foot back when i pick it up to walk, or maybe i just walk on my toes too much or something. i am afraid with enough wears it get bad enough to eat into the leather parts of the shoe and then i will be up sh*t's creek and wear will show on the outside as well as the bottom. it's doing this to my other two pair as well. will vibrims help this at all? any other way to avoid it? am i the only one or is this normal?

Yes there is. I know there's a thread on this but I can't find it. Go to your cobbler and they can do a copper small dome like thing on the sole towards the tip to prevent it.

I did the same to my Tiger NPs. Are you NPs? I wonder if this is a slingback thing? I wear them often so I am not sure if it is normal but they are going to get the red Vibram this week. That should help!!!

It happens on mine too. That's why I try to get them Vibramed after one or two wears so that it doesn't start to wear where it's visible from the top.
I don't know why people are against Vibrams generally, though everyone has their own likes/dislikes. The way I wear my shoes I'd have worn through to the insoles if I don't get them reinforced somehow!

i'm glad to know i'm not the only one. everyone's shoes always look so perfect and i always take note of the imperfections on mine, created by me. lol. the very first time i wore my NPs i scratched the red part of the heel on a barstool and now it drives me absolutely insane  that's a part on CL soles that should never get scratched up, it doesn't ever touch the ground!

I'm not against vibrams! lol I just haven't had the need for them yet.

no, but it seems like some people are. and padding them seems like an absolute last resort if a certain style doesn't fit your foot right. if padding helps, or makes it fit perfect, i don't really see what the big deal is? i guess some people just want to leave their louboutins as perfect as they already are. lol.

I have the exact same problem with my shoes. That and I wear down the outside of the sole first. Not really sure what that says about how I walk other than it must be on the outside and tiptoes?? I just sent my first pair in to be vibramed so I am hoping that will help. Also like Liza mentioned you can do a shoe tap that goes on the very tip of the shoe. I don't think you can do both though.
