So, I am kinda sorta (not really sure if I am or not) having buyers remorse? Let me explain.

I currently own the Saddle 35 in Black/Oxblood BUT I decided to order the Tobacco/Carmine as well. This was the original Saddle Bag I purchased when it first made its debut in September. For some odd reason though, I'm feeling kind of...well...weird about this. I've never been opposed to owning two of the same bag in multiple colors because, well, let's be honest, it isn't really the same bag. I am trying to tell myself that one will be for Spring/Summer and one for Fall/Winter. (Not that that even matters because I decide when and when I am not going to carry my bags.) HOWEVER, it is a way for me to sleep better at night.

Talk to me ladies (and gents.)

Do you own multiple bags of the same style? And if so, what bags? What brand? And WHY did you have to have multiples?

Can't wait to hear all of your responses below!

Thanks,
A.

Hi! Yep, I have multiples of the same bag. I've pared my bags down to a 12 or 13 bags, but I still have multiples.

I have 2 Coach Legacy east/west duffles, 2 Coach Dakotahs (original small black and larger suede) and 2 Michael Kors hobo bags. I have had multiples of Kelsey's, Willis', Sophia's and many other Coach bags.

The reason I have multiples is because those bags are the perfect size, shape and style for me.....plus, sometimes it's hard to just choose one color. Lol!

Ha, so many.

Four small Phoebes
Two small original Dakotahs (both colors)
Three Nomads
Two Sophias (gathered, python)
Two Legacy basket clutches

as well as
Three Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini satchels
Two LV Speedy 30s (Damier Ebene, and Aquarelle)

They cover a variety of colors, so I am fine with multiples. I used to have six Phoebes but recently sold the two I used the least.

I'm fine with multiples. I have a bunch of Legacy duffles, 3 mini duffles, 2 Legacy pebbled drawstrings, 2 Bleecker flaps, 2 Isabelles...If a style works for you, it makes sense to buy it again. I think it makes more sense to have more than one bag of the same style than it does to have more than one of the same color.

That said, it is easy to go overboard with one style in the beginning when you are most in love with it. Then later you might decide you don't really love it so much that you need multiples. So it makes sense to go slow until you know the love is going to last. I used to have 5 Sophias, now I'm down to 2.

I have 2 Coopers, 2 Kelseys, 2 Coras, and 2 pleated swingpacks. I tend to buy 2 colors of a style. I only have 2 bags that don't have twins, a Margot and a Phoebe, but I'm planning on adding another Phoebe to my collection very soon!

I only carry Coach. My first love is Caroline, and I own 4.
4 swaggers.
7 Rhyders.
3 Tatums
4 Boroughs
2 Lilys

So you can tell having the same bag is not an issue for me. I love what I love. Lol

I don't but if i had a style of bag that worked well for me and had it in definite seasonal colors(or desired too) then i might do it.

Again, do what your comfortable with.. that is what matters more than opinions by everyone else lol.

I'm a fan of multiples too. I have 5 boroughs, 3 Romys, 3 duffles, 2 swaggers, 2 gramercys, and I'm sure I have some other repeats, but I can't remember. Until recently I had multiple Carries and Carolines (I've been cleaning house). Imo a different color or texture makes it a completely different bag.

I used to have a lot of multiples- Phoebe (5), Lindsey (4), Dakotah (2), Kristins (4), MK Riley (2)...
Since I'm trying to pare down my collection I have drastically reduced the multiples. I have 2 Rhyder 24s (one teal & one wild beast), 2 Lindseys (gathered & plain), and will have 2 Ace satchels. As you can see 2 is my limit. I don't think there is anything wrong with multiples. As others have said, if the style works and you will use it GO FOR IT! :)
Post pics of that gorgeous new bag when it arrives!

I think multiples are fine. Sometimes that is a sign that you've found a bag that really works for you so getting it in another color is perfectly acceptable. I have the Madison E/W tote in both saddle and black and those bags are ideal for me in many instances so I'm glad to have them in two colors. The key is if you feel you love the bag enough to carry it often. Good luck!

If I find a style that I love and it works for me, I'm going to buy it in multiple colors. I have different sizes/variations of some styles; like with the Kristin Round Satchel. I have a Shell Pink Elevated which is bigger and a different kind of leather than my Scarlet. They are the same basic shape, but look completely different. I also have two Kristin satchels that are similar, but I don't consider them multiples. ( one is a double zip, one isn't. )

I have multiples of the Madison Phoebe, Madison Sophia, Madison E/W Tote, Legacy Duffle, and Legacy Molly. I've got the first gen and the 2nd editions of the MFF Zoe ( which look totally different ), and the Kristins I mentioned above. I will end up with at least 2 Saddle bags, and possibly 2 Nomads and 2 Mercer Satchels. I'm not even going to pretend to put myself on a ban this year.

( oh, and I've also got different sizes/ colors of the Dooney Florentine satchel. ) :D

This +1. I have multiples, but find that I scale down over time to just one or two of a certain bag. It is easy to buy more when they are accessible and on sale, then over time you might realize you don't need quite so many.

I recently fell in love with Dooney's Sawyer, and immediately purchased 6. About two months later, I've regretted that decision and have returned 3. I wish I could have returned one more, but the Dooney website does not accept returns past 30 days. I do like the style and wanted to keep the two that I use on a regular basis. As everyone has stated, if a style works for you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having multiples. I'm having the same dilemma with the Nomad. I have a black and want to purchase two more in the eggplant and the true red. The bag is so beautifully made, the leather is amazing, and the colors are so gorgeous. I'm just afraid that I may regret those purchases, as well. I like variety and that's why I tend not to get multiples, but what I would do is buy them and just make sure you purchase from a store that has an excellent return policy.
