Plastic bins shouldn't be a problem for a move. I just don't think they are a good idea
for longer term storage. During a move you want to protect your bags, so plastic bins
make sense. And, you can keep the covers off until the very end, so there will be some air
circulation.

I succumbed to the Labor Day sale on the very last day … at midnight. I jumped out of bed and decided to splurge because I could not pass on an Alto bag at 50% off. But which bag to choose haunted me throughout the night. I was in and out of bed several times making my decision, then placing the order, then wondering if I had made the right choice, asking myself if I should cancel and purchase the other one, and finally deciding to go with my gut and keep what I had ordered. I finally went to bed for the last time at 2 am.

The Alto Delphina in saddle will be arriving soon. The Alto Elenora in Bordeaux is on my wishlist should it ever be 50% off again. In my sleep deprived shopping ordeal I actually thought of buying both with the caveat that one would be returned. But I knew that would never happen so I HAD to choose one. I hope I made the right decision.

I liked both colors and designs. I do like the shorter handles on the Delphina because I hand carry, but I absolutely love the Bordeaux color of the Elenora. Wish me luck.

I was also tempted. But you found some great buys. I can't wait to hear about the Delphina. Alto handbags are beautiful and I love to collect them. But lately, the prices
and sizes don't make me lose control as often as in the past. I do admit to buying 2 Alto earlier this year, however.

Enjoy your new Alto treasure and please provide measurements. Without the size details,
I've been very hesitant to purchase bags I haven't seen in person. Maybe that's a good thing.

IMG_1233.jpegThe Alto Delphina in saddle has arrived. It is a touch bigger than the Alto Woven Shopper. On the outside it is 15 inches wide at the top and 12.5 inches wide at the bottom. It is 5 inches wide. There is a zip closure at the top and rings inside on the “wings” to attach the shoulder strap. The handles are stitched in place and have a 3.5 inch high opening. Crook of the arm carry may be tricky but definitely a good hand carry (which I love). The inside is fully lined with one zip and one slip pocket. There is a tiny leather slip pocket for a license or ID. Like the Woven, the outer panels exceed the height of the interior. The inside functional space is 10 inches high. I think I will keep it. A good small/medium size with a simple design and a few touches of interest. I have also ordered the Bordeaux Alto Elenora. Other than a sale on the new pebble grain satchel in Bone I hope I am done for the year so I can save up for Dooney’s 50 year anniversary bags - well, at least I hope they release something amazing.🤩

LID: enjoy your new Alto Delphina. I was considering it, but the lack of measurements
on the site made me hesitate. I like the design details. I really appreciate all the info you provided. Since I have the Alto Woven Shopper, in the regular size (and one in the large size too), now I know exactly how big the Delphina is.
Only question for me is what color and at what price.... since I clearly don't need another
handbag. (I just ordered 6, including 2 Alto. Don't ask, Insanity overcame me. I know i don't need or have space for anymore handbags.).

I was also looking at the Elenora. I hope you love it and can't wait for your evaluation
and feedback.

Thanks for the reminder about the 50 year Dooney anniversary next year. I'd love to see
some new styles or a return to some of the older beautiful Alto designs, and colors.
I have more than enough black, saddle, and red Alto handbags. I've bought 2 navy blue Alto in the past year. Now I'd love to see
more medium blues (French blue, royal blue, etc), and some deeper Bordeaux and Grape/purple.

I didn't buy the Alto small woven bucket, too small for me and I have 2 other Alto
woven bags. The small woven bucket was adorable and I was tempted.

I did buy 2 Florentine satchels.... one in ecru and one in black.
Both are called domed, but the styles are different. The ecru is the large domed
satchel, which I already own in black and navy. Very light weight roomy bag.
The black one is a different shape and I think will be a tad smaller visually,
but it has a 6" base, so it will be roomy enough. I was tempted to get the chestnut
It looked beautiful, and brown in a big color this fall,
but I have a ton of brown handbags and no brown clothing.

I can't resist a good sale....
apparently Dooney's marketing strategy is working.

Sorry about that. It sounds like you bought some very nice handbags at great prices. Ecru is gorgeous. I do not know why I have so few. I am not worried about color transfer because I hand carry, like you. And because I have so many Dooney’s, they are in constant rotation. I know neither one of us NEEDS another one but I love purchasing something unique or a color I do not not normally purchase or try a new style when the price is right. And we all have a wishlist in our heads. When I scroll through the site, I ALWAYS find one that I think, “I have always liked that one. I have looked at it several times. I never bought it because something else always caught my eye at the moment.” If it is a steal, I buy. Cross it off the list and make a space for another one. I still may purchase a Pebble with Florentine Trim Domed Satchel. I have it in Forest and Bone but I NEED it in Bordeaux. It is $368 on sale for $141. Pebble leather is amazing and it is a nice bag to carry. Not too small and not too big. The domed shape allows easy access to everything inside. Both the pebble and Florentine are extremely durable. The best of both Dooney leathers in one bag.

I hope you receive perfect, or near perfect, handbags. 👜👜🍀❤️ I agree with you that if a bag has minor flaws I am willing to overlook them for the discounted price.

Now I have to go look at the Florentine trimmed Pebble Domed satchel....
I need to check the measurements again. Last time I looked, I decided it wasn't
big enough to justify another purchase. But.... I do like the look and
the contrast trim and the shape. Of course, for the right pirce I've bought quite a few
Alto bags that are a tad too small for regular carry.... I classify them as go to dinner or
social occasion handbags.... I need a lot more social occasions to justify the number
of bags in that category. 🤣

Oh, and last night, I went back to ILD and bought 3 tote bags on sale.....
Plumes in brown, Denison small Wren in Bordeaux, and the navy tartan Flynn. Prices were too good to pass up. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
