Anyone thinking a bout purchasing anything with the Labor Day sale?
I ordered the Florentine Gracie in Ivy thanks to you! I’ve actually been wanting a Florentine bag in Ivy for a year. Last year at this time QVC had the large satchel in ivy and it was on sale. Not a great price but decent. I missed out and regretted it. I looked on and off on all the sites for a Florentine bag in that shade on sale. I saw your pics and just loved the silhouette. I’m excited.
Now tell me, how long does it take to ship?

I hope you love it as much asi do. Only took a few days to arrive via ups.it is sent surepost from dooney meaningups send it to post office to deliver toyour door. I didn’t like thsatdo I psidzfeeof [email protected] per year to have ups deliver to me instead of the post office ugh… I had my Gracie in just a few days.plesselet us see it ans give us you review of it as you see it and feel it and smell it.lol

Please keep,in mind you can call any dooney outlet and ask if they have the bag you are looking for. If they have it they will sen you pics of the actual bag you will be receiving. You can let them know for example you want it smooth all over. They dill send pics and most times it will be in factory packaging. Might have a couple of scratches from being on display in store but you should be a le to see them in the pictures..I believe it $10 for shipping. And it will arrive quickly. They migh have whatever you’re looking for.

I put 6 thins in my cart. But not excited enough to
pull the trigger on any of them. Think I might be pursed-put
for now. I'm not seeing enough great colors or Florentine
styles that makes me abandon my common sense and buy,
buy, buy. Guess that's a good thing. But I feel like I am
missing out of something.

Fomo is a real beast down boy. I missed out on those lovely cosmetic cases. I think if the Laborday sale prices aren’t enough for you to pull the trigger then it’s not the time to buy to buy unless you see something that really catches your eye

The Florentine satchel30 is still in my cart…
I had the Florentine satchel 30 in my cart.
But.... I probably have every color already in the regular satchel....
in the small (now regular) or mini size.
I also had the Flo 38 in my cart, but I'm afraid it will be too heavy...
(I can't even lift my 1 Florentine medium (the original, largest size.
But it's in a stunning raspberry color, so I won't give it up).

I can't remember what else was in the cart and ILD deleted the cart.
I guess they don't want me to be tempted. Maybe they know I already
have too many handbags and no place to put them.

I think if the colors were more exciting to me, I would be buying some handbags
this weekend. The only thing on my radar now is a Brahmin in a dark fuschia.
But for some reason, even this magnificent color isn't motivating me to
buy the handbag. I think in part because the highly processed embossed leather
in such a bright color doesn't fit with my 'fall' color fantasies. If it were in a
Florentine quality leather, I would have bought it in a nanosecond.
I know I'll tire of the fall colors and neutrals soon enough, and be craving the
bright colors again. But for right now, I'm ready to move on to the bordeaux,
dark green, teal, black, navy, and even saddle and dark brown shades. And oh yes,
give me some Dooney plum wine handbags please! Time to unearth that part of the
handbag collection and enjoy it again.

My 'rule' has always been to buy the great colors (as I see them), when they are
offered, because I know they will disappear from store shelves and not reappear for
years. That's why I'm surprised I haven't jumped on that dark fuschia Brahmin.

Ugh I’m approaching the too many bags and no place to pu them. My shelves are I dire need of tending. Since certain people just throw bsgs anywhere wit no fcuks given. I’m upset but I’ll take care of it. I’ll be very upset if my birthday Gracie is messed up from being thrown on top of everything smdh. I bet if it were his stuff some kinda care would be taken. I’ll take care of it

I agree with you. The good news is that your Dooney bags are very resilient.
If you have them stuffed and in dust bags, with the handles wrapped and not pressing
against the outside of the bag, then they will probably withstand a lot of neglect.

I hate to admit it, but due to lack of space my bags are in piles (mountains)....
and since I learned (the hard way) that the handles/straps must not touch the
outside of the bag, my bags have held up very well. Of course it would be better if they
were standing up, side by side, with space to breath in between. Just not going to
happen.

Other rules.... no plastic wrap on the bag, no plastic boxes for storage.
Leather needs to breathe, so I use cloth dust bags or old pillow cases/pillow protectors
(that have been washed). Also, I store light colored handbags in light dust bags.

Most vulnerable.... patent leather.... it will pick up color transfer and marks from anything
that touches it. Also, no handbags in the garage or attic. Handbag storage should be
in a reasonable temperature range and reasonable humidity. Consistency helps avoid
condensation. One more thing.... don't use old towels or Tshirts to stuff hanbags.
Over time the fabric causes an odor. I don't know why...... but it happens.

Oh, use your bags and enjoy them.... don't be a saver. It's better to have
carried a handbag so much that it's tired and old looking rather than in perfect
condition and never used and enjoyed. And it takes a lot of wear to tire out a Dooney
if you take reasonable care of your bag. And with our collections, if we rotate the bags
then it will be decades of use before any of them show any signs of wear.
(Water spots, cookie crumbs, greasy finger marks, not included).

Thanks LJ I always appreciate your inciteLove it. I’ll be up ther real soon to straighten out my collection. Looking to get the plastic offthe strap of my Gracie birthday bag .wait a minute LJ you said no storage InPlastic bins. If I’m moving what can I move the bags in if not a big tub. I’m scared to use cardboard boxes but I guess that’s best then.every bag will be in dustbag to travel to the new house
