Anyone own one??? I have a kissing diamond engagement ring that my husband had designed for me. For those of you who had never heard of it (I went to several well-known chicago jewelers who hadn't), its where two diamons are set point-to-point so it looks like they are kissing. if anyone else has one, please post pics!!!!!! This is a pic of mine. i took it on my camera phone because my regular camera was dead

Does it refract differently? Brighter? Call me crazy, but I would want the diamonds in my ring to show instead of being under the primary diamond and facing my finger. Interesting idea, though.

Hey if you love it that's what counts....sweet idea, it maybe the jeweler made it and gave it that name i would be careful if the stone gets loose and scratches the culit of the other it may damage the diamonds.

^Hahaha that's what my mom said, she was like "thats a waste of a diamond!" I suppose you could make the bottom one a lower quality diamond or even a fake, since no one will see it. The top 1 carat diamond faces up normally. I haven't noticed any different refractions or brightness from other diamonds. I just love it because its so unique and romantic. LOL

^The diamonds are set in a way that it will be hard for them to fall out. I went to get it cleaned the other day and the girl said that the top stone was loose so she couldn't clean it, but she said that since its set the way it is odds are it will never fall out. Its insured, so Im not too concerned. The culets dont touch, there is a very small space between them that could only be seen under magnification. Ive worn it every day for two and a half years and have had no problems with anythying so far :)

Never heard of it. I would ike to see it in person or at least the CAD 'blueprints' because I can't imagine setting this without feeling like I am simply losing the bottom stone.

That's cool! I've never heard of it, but I like the idea a lot. I don't feel like I'd be wasting a diamond either, it's part of the joy of a unique ring, only you know that it's there really :)
