I recently bought a Kirigami Pochette set and decided to give a medium size one to my friend for her bday. should I feel bad for giving something that is not a complete set? She hasn’t owned any of Louis Vuitton stuff. :hrmm:

Hmm. I don’t know. If she doesn’t know anything LV she might not know it came from a full set. In that case I can see her being really happy.

If she did, however, find out it came from a set it’s quite obvious you only gave it to her because you didn’t want that size from the set. That’s kind of awkward imo.

That’s true. Should I mention it before giving it to her? :hrmm:

Exactly, agree with above poster — it’s a generous gift regardless and the only reason I might suggest not to do it is if you think she wouldn’t appreciate it, since she doesn’t own any LV.
I agree! My sister always wanted an LV bag and I gave her my DE Speedy years ago instead of selling it. I’ve never seen her carry it. Her husband told me he put it in their safe soon after I gave it to her along with some other valuables. He laughed but he seemed genuine. Fast forward - he kept talking about the NF and how he wanted to buy her one. She’s worn that bag to death and I said to her the other night- Hey, you should get that Speedy out of the “vault” and carry it! I also mentioned how she she could buy straps on Etsy for it. She seemed REALLY confused and said Oh, I don’t keep any bags in the safe. I’m thinking she might’ve sold it….most likely she didn’t like it. ‍♀️
