Sorry I do not have a picture. In my town, many women are wearing these! They were featured in a local paper and are becoming a "trend". It is a 4-chain bracelet that looks like a wrap-around. It is sterling silver coated with rhodium. Your children's names are in lower case letters on a separate chain of a part of the 4. The bracelet part costs $100. So for me (3 kids), it would be $250 as each name costs $50. Do you think it is a ridiculous item?

I have my friend's picture on the computer but I don't know how to put it on forum. I'll try to figure it out!
upload the photo to photobucket, then when you see it in your photobucket gallery there will be an option under it or to the right that says things like direct link, html code and the last one will be "IMG code" click on that (it will copy it for you) then come back here and paste it into the body of your post.

Nope, I think it sounds precious.
I will say though that I am ridiculously over protective of my children. I NEVER have their names displayed anywhere where I stranger could see it. It makes it too easy for someone to be standing near us, see my daughters name on my jewelery, then wait and pretend they know her and try to steal her. I know I'm paranoid, but it happened to me as a child at Disney land...my name was embroidered on my mickey mouse hat and someone came up talking to me like he knew me...after all he "knew" my name. I fell for it. Thank goodness my parents were close by. Anyway, I always do initials.

I agree 100% about names on young children being visible. But my two boys are teenagers taller than me! So I'm not that worried about someone snatching them. I'm running to dentist. I'll try to do picture thing later.

We tried to transfer picture here yesterday. But it wouldn't take. Our computer is dying a slow death and there is a limit of what it will do. But my husband strongly dislikes the bracelet. He does not like trendy jewelry especially when every woman in town wears the same exact stuff. I'm a little sad cause I really wanted it.

Did you want it because you wanted something with your sons' names on it, or was it because you liked THAT particular piece? I have several friends with lovely mothers jewelery that they got off Etsy. Such as:

And these are all substantially less expensive

Etsy is my best suggestion. Just do a search for custom name bracelet or personalized name bracelet and you'll get 100's of different options.
OH MY! I LOOOOOVE these, and it's a set of 3!!

Good luck!! I hope you find the perfect thing at a more affordable price that is unique from what the other ladies in your town have.
