Key Case Question

Hi all,

I have never purchased an item from Gucci. I went on the website after seeing this key case on instagram. I was surprised to find the item on their website for 370 Canadian dollars! My LV key pouch was 245 and my LV mini pochette was 360. I always assumed Gucci canvas was less expensive than LV. My question is, has anyone seen this item go on sale, can it be found at the outlet locations, or is it a classic item that only sells for full price? I would love to own this little cutie, but don’t really want to spend 400$ with tax for it. Thanks for any help or advice!

Gucci doesn’t do sales anymore. Most items do not end up at outlets, although some pieces do. There’s no way of knowing what will end up at outlet. Prices are usually 30% less at outlet. There are also made for outlet pieces. Your best bet is to go to outlet and look. Good luck.

Fellow Canadian here. I just got this key case a couple days ago! I think the chain and clasp are better made than the LV one, and the case is a little big bigger than the cles. I think the LV will stay cleaner longer since it’s coated and has leather lining whereas the Gucci case is fabric on the inside.

I haven’t been happy with LV quality for a while so I got the Gucci one instead. If you think of the price in terms of cost per wear it’s not that bad.

I also haven't been happy with LV quality lately. I’m taking a break from purchasing from them and I think it may be permanent. I really do want to get this key case from Gucci but I have so many slgs I think I need to rehome a few before I get a new one. Thanks for your input!

Yes I did purchase it back in July! It definitely is more expensive than it should be IMO, but I have never wanted a Gucci piece before and for some reason this item just spoke to me so I pulled the trigger and got it.

me too! I never wanted Gucci piece ever especially I have lv key pouch already, but this product looks cute and durable then lv one but still can't justify the price point though, can't decide!

I think if you have an LV key pouch already that you are using you don’t need this one from Gucci. Learn from my mistakes. I have wayyy too many SLGs that I hardly use. Save your money for a bigger purchase like a bag or jewellery! Or if you really cant stop thinking about this Gucci one then sell your LV key pouch to fund this new piece. Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision!
