  1. Just announced!

H&M is proud to announce that the next designer collaboration will be with KENZO, the vibrant and playful Parisian house that captures the energy of global culture to create its unique, youthful spirit. Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon will bring the spirit of KENZO to H&M, creating collections for women and men as well as accessories. KENZO x H&M will be available in over 250 selected H&M stores worldwide, as well as online, from November 3, 2016.

Since joining the house in 2011, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have set their own fashion agenda with collections full of bold colours and vivid prints, revealed through high-impact shows, artist collaborations and creative digital campaigns. Global influences and traditions are remixed and fused with the energy of the street, resulting in collections that are both inspirational and accessible to their fans around the world. At KENZO, fashion expresses freedom, joy and individuality for all.

“We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of KENZO x H&M, with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

“With this collaboration with H&M we want to think big, push the boundaries and bring the new energy of KENZO to everyone around the world,” says Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Creative Directors at KENZO.

H&M has been known to tap major models and celebrities for its campaigns (see: all the glory that was H&M x Balmain), but for its upcoming collection with Kenzo, creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon went with fresh cast of creatives.

The first three images, shot by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, debuted today. Above are Amy Sall, a New York-based student and activist who is also the founder of SUNU: Journal of African Affairs, Critical Thought + Aesthetics, and Juliana Huxtable, a New York artist, poet and DJ.

Then there is Isamaya French, a London-based makeup artist who is also part of the Theo Adams Company, a performance group.

Oko Ebombo, a musician and performance artist from Paris, also stars in the look book.

The collection, which seems like it will be pretty prints-heavy, will land in stores and online November 3.

  6. My first thought after seeing these pictures before sharing them here was 'good grief :wtf:'!

I was excited for this collaboration, but after seeing the first three pictures, I don't know what to think.
I am not a fan so far. I do kind of like the coat and shawl for men in the last pic, but other than that..nayyyy .
I wonder what other items there will be for this collaboration.

  7. I don't think I'm H&M's target market as I've only bought 2 basic cotton cardis and a plain sweat shirt in the sale for the last 2 years and although I quite like the catsuit (cat-suit LOL) in dark orange I don't think I'll be buying in case someone calls the authorities and tries to dart me. Seriously, Gandolfi, Porselli and other dancewear specialists make animal print all-in-ones in velour and lycra as standard I'm not sure where the 'design' is so far.

I think it could take of though :P CatsGroup.jpg

  8. Lol :biggrin::lol:!

I do have some Kenzo pieces which I like, so I was curious for the H&M x Kenzo collaboration. Until I saw those pics...:wtf:.
I surely hope they come with some better pieces, otherwise the hunt is off for me this year ;).
I loved the previous H&M x Balmain collaboration and have several pieces of it. To me, that collaboration was worth hunting for. Still love the pieces that I have.

  9. You have so much patience and strength for these things. Crowds of crazy people didn't used to bother so much but now I just can't get motivated for it all. Online is too difficult, although I know I'm a small in most H&M I know their sizing is very inconsistent.

I like vintage Kenzo but nothing I've seen for a while, and though I love tigers but I'm not sure I actually want to be one. Have you noticed mainline Balmain is a bit less crazily priced recently, now I look a bit more carefully (not that I need any more clothes LOL)

  10. I was lucky that I got most items online, although it took a lot of patience .
Sizing was very inconsistent indeed, especially with the Balmain collaboration...it was a hit or miss.
I haven't seen anything Balmain hat caught my eye lately, but as for Kenzo, I did like this sweater ( but thought too long about it and then it sold out :P):

It's not a classic piece, but I liked the color combination of this one and I wouldn't mind a tiger sweater, for those days that are more casual ;).

  11. These pictures look ridiculous! Not what I had hoped for at all.

  12. Hopefully the rest of it is not tacky or has a good impression. Only thing I like so far is the dude's anorak jacket. Rest of it, nah.

  13. Really pretty cw

  14. Just wanted to update the thread with more pics
I love Kenzo but I dislike everything I've seen lol
Every Time I see something new I cringe. Nothing I would wear in my real life. Nothing I would stand in line for. Hoping they are other items that aren't animal print that they haven't shown yet.
