Kendie's 2016 Tribute to Chanel & her tPF friends!

Hello my dear Chanel lovers/friends!! Where do I begin? Believe it or not, this is my VERY FIRST thread/reveal I've ever done on tPF!!! I've only just posted pics & comments within already established threads. Guess that makes me either lazy or shy (as I told 1 of you yesterday that I'm a closet introvert!!) I wanted to do this thread as a tribute to the blossoming of my Chanel obsession that started early this year & also as a little tribute to ALL of you AMAZING Chanel friends that I've had the utmost pleasure getting to know this year. You are such a fun bunch & I appreciate you tremendously!
So I think I'll go in chronological order of my Chanel collection & explain a little something along w/ a pic & modshot (as I saved most on my iPhone) I'm going to try & get this all done in one sitting so please hang in there with me (the newbie thread starter!)....1st up will be my pre-loved, somewhat "vintage-y" lambskin perforated drill flap. I believe it was from 2008-09 era. I thought it was kind of cool & since it was reasonably priced I decided to try my first Chanel years ago. BUT, speed forward to 2016 for my "main" collection...

2016 begins...my 1st new Chanel was this "little gem" ( that's her name)... bought at Saks. It was my very first experience & WOW was it a fun treat! The SA spent at least an hour+ with me looking at lots of bags but I kept coming back to my black aged calf mini reissue 224 with aged gold[emoji7]

The addiction begins [emoji33]... I was told I was super lucky getting that black mini reissue & then BAM, my luck came through again when I was at Neiman Marcus just browsing. I developed a special relationship on this day with my sweet NM SA & when she pulled this beige chevron 226 reissue in aged calf, my heart pounded! Sold! The more I see & use this one, the more in love I am.

Actually, my heart is racing with a little nerves right now as I'm doing this thread!! [emoji23]Is that weird? Probably. Next was my desire for a more "casual" Chanel, thus my drawstring bag in calfskin spoke to me. She's kind of sporty & great with casual attire... although I've also used her a few times for work client dinners because she holds my iPad & other necessities that wouldn't all fit in my other Chanel bags.

From the beginning of my Chanel-mania I wanted a Boy bag ( even though years ago I hated them. Shame on me!) I looked & looked. Nothing. I was going to give up until my NM SA text me a pic of this one & held it for me. It has a chevron vibe to it but the pleats ( which are a combo of both calf & lambskin) made it extra special in my opinion. When I went to get it, she told me she "fended off" 3 people who wanted to buy it when she had unpacked it upon arrival. [emoji256] lucky me, again.

Another " just browsing" trip to Saks, & I wanted to get stop with my black bags so I was looking at colors. I've been on the hunt for a perfect red Chanel ( to this day I'm failing miserably so I'm given up on red for now[emoji51])... this grey caviar medium classic flap goes so well with tons of my fall/winter wardrobe so home she came with me.

Many of you know that I named my next Holy Grail bag after 1 of our beloved friends here...when I saw her pic of her tweed, I died on the spot ...in my mind when I think of Chanel, Tweed pops into my mind first & major props/endless thanks to dear @Vanana for her assistance & inspiration on my Tweed 225 small reissue with the magnificent aged bronze hardware. So I was dying for a black clutch & it didn't even have to be Chanel, but no I take that back! It did have to be Chanel [emoji12][emoji23]so here's my beaded clutch, also called wallet with chain. Prettier in person vs my pics.

Thanks to a beloved & most dear friend @Dextersmom I always admired her WOCs... hell, I admire her EVERYTHING but she rocks the WOC BIGTIME![emoji8] I didn't like the first one I tried on but it kept nagging at me to try again & just put the chain inside & use as a clutch. So on my actual birthday I took the plunge & got this chevron calfskin WOC. I love the color as it has a slight sheen to it & goes with almost anything. I hear you name her "Dex" after my girl Dextersmom! [emoji8] I absolutely adore this bag!
That's my first Chanel scarf/shawl in the bottom pic. The feel of that cashmere is exquisite! [emoji177]

I've wanted a mini rectangle ever since I saw them & I've so LOVED all of you fab mini owners & your pics/modshots so with the help again of a dear friend I was super lucky to get on the list for this calfskin pink chevron mini with gorgeous aged/matte gold chain[emoji177]. Major pink fan here so I was thrilled to get this one! I know many of you also just got this baby so cheers to all of you "twin bag" owners!
I have not used her yet since she arrived recently but I did try her on (bad mod as I'm in black sweats[emoji13])
Oh & the Christmas wrapping this year was gorgeous-this was shipped to me from a stand alone Chanel boutique & wrapped with care.

Just the other day, as many of you know, I got a text from NM SA. I completely forgot I was on waitlist for a medium classic quilt flap in lambskin with gold hardware. I thought it was 1 of the most quintessential Chanel bags so I decided I "needed" one, plus I'm obsessing over lambskin lately. When I arrived at NM I inspected the classic quilt & it was phenomenal. I was sold. BUT WAIT, so dear SA, " have you received any black lambskin chevrons lately?!" Oh geez, why did I ask?! But I'm glad I did because that brings me to my last purchase this year ...both of these are from cruise 2017 collection, medium black chevron classic flap & the sweet yellow lambskin cardholder begged me to jump in the big NM bag along with "black mama chevron" [emoji16][emoji177][emoji182]
